Slip for sail in Torrevieja hans.servayge@gmail.com
LOTS OF SHIP TRAFFIC THERE AT NIGHT..
Do you ever race when cruising , Only when i see another sail on the horizen .
HI Sam, Thanks for the videos. What are you using for navigation? I can see a phone in this video with some kind of chart plotter…. Fair winds Peter
Pull the spinnaker clew out to the end of the pole when you hoist – that will help the sail fill. The spinnaker can't wrap around the forestay with the headsail out, so at most only have it partially unrolled when you hoist and drop – ideally fully out if conditions allow. For the drop, it will help collapse the spinnaker behind the main and headsail.
Sam I couldn't help noticing that your U.S. flag is badly tattered. Show our country some respect and buy a new one.😮
Enough with cold water seas, this was sailing. The magnificent Med.
Why not head to Gocek in September
I have a house there. Lovely pkave
Mate you are absolutely killing it, you are winning at life! Im so jealous of your journeys. Your commentary on all aspects of the boat, sailing, conditions, anchorage’s and marinas is first class.
😊👍you just duet inspiration tanks
Why are you not going along the south coast? Its much more interesting and has some culture, unlike the touristy north shore.
Such a cool place!
Glad you made the long journey with virtually no incidents, Sam.
I see you suffer from the same procrastinations as many these days, lol! The Orcas avoided you again on recommendation of their P.R. 'Marine Spokes-mammal,' lol!
Looking forward to seeing how your new sails work out. Think of doing a "side-by-side comparison," raising one, recording knots, then swapping in the other and recording knots, each over a period of time. Hopefully the new ones will be an improvement. Give us say a one week heads up on when they might arrive so we can monitor more closely.
Well safe travels to Italy, and who says you cant take a few land videos along the way? I think we'd all be interested in what you experience on that trip. Take Care til next time!
Thanks!
Sam, You should write a book about your adventures, So much interesting content. Rob
Since you float around the east coast and western side of Europe,.. I just came across a hotel that blows my mind! No man's fort. Of the coast of England. Please visit this "thing"🙏👍👍
Sam .. You should ask Helen to sail with you perminitly
Great vid SAM
Sam you make me nervous, on deck with out a PFD.
Sam, how did you begin your journey?
Thanks!
Love seeing you post cause I know it’s going to be awesome
Very entertaining sailing videos!
Cheers from a fellow Youtuber (with a boat) in Malaga, whenever you’re near Malaga and need a tourist guide, let us know!
I lost all respect for the channels pushing AG1. Such a scam. Thank you calling them out!
Btw rope tension contributes the most to twisting. Releasing tension periodically relieves twist. Tag or runner lines can also help but may not be practical. They also make low rotation rope.
I see you've grown the standard American in Europe moustache 🧔
Hi Sam, great video as always. We noticed lots of large ships at anchor off Gibraltar- it surprised us. We did a land based holiday in Torrevieja 30+ years ago, before we discovered sailing!
The ship lists so much when sailing at speed. I would be absolutely terrified
How do you sail when you're sound asleep? Normal? Slow? Drag anchor?
My son lives in Ajaccio Corsica if you stop there you could hook up with him
Afternoon nap under sail…what a dream! Thanks for sharing Sam!
Electrical connection solutions. You can pot your electrical connections in epoxy or Hot Glue if you will want to eventually get access.
