Van Life in Europe has officially begun. We are Ian & Ana, 2 Americans that shipped their van from the U.S. to Europe. We will be spending the next 2 years exploring Europe in our van. We have done van life in the U.S. but we are excited to see the differences in Europe. We started our road trip in early April when we picked up our van from Antwerp, Belgium. It was still cold so we decided to take a long road trip for 24 hours all the way down to Portugal

  1. Hey guyz great video. Finally a longer video. I bet so many memories were created while doing this 24 hour drive. Hope I can do this one day. Itโ€™s pretty awsome. Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜ฟ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  2. So nice to see you went to Ghent, how were my friend (Filip) his fries? I eat there on regular basis. Sad we didn't see you. Have a safe and unforgettable trip through Europe. Greetings.

  3. Oh yeah! On the road again. 16 minutes and what's that taste in my mouth? That's me wanting more, but I like the little taste you gave us. Sorry to hear about the missed opportunity to have saved so much money. Stay safe. Love you!! Woot woot. โค๐Ÿ™

  4. Itโ€™s Brittany Ferries from the UK go from either Plymouth or Portsmouth to Santander or Bilbao. Fares start at $300-400 and take about 20+ hours.

It would only have been worth taking the ferry if youโ€™d had your van shipped to the UK.

With your van arriving in Belgium, youโ€™d have to pay take the ferry to Dover then drive 3 hours to Plymouth or Portsmouth. You wouldnโ€™t have saved anything except not having to drive it down.

French highways are notoriously expensive (as are Italian ones) butโ€ฆthere are Aires (rest stops) every 30 kilometres. It makes travelling so easy.

If you want to save money, you can try taking N roads in France. It was the old highway system but the rest stops are hit and miss and thereโ€™s many times where the highway ends and you go through villages.

Or you can go through Germany where the highways are free (as they are in Belgium). Me giving this info is kind of pointless seeing as the trip you published was in April and itโ€™s now July ๐Ÿ˜‚

  5. So excited to see your European van trip videos starting to come up! ๐Ÿ’™ Ghent is an absolute gem, I visited it when I was last time in Belgium โœจ Also missing Paris, seeing it makes me want to re-visit ๐Ÿ—ผ Pyrenees mauntains are on my bucket list as I do have Pyrenean Sheepdog and would love to see where the breed originates from ๐Ÿฆฎ Sending warm hugs from Poland ๐Ÿ’ž

  6. Ghent looks really nice! And the Pyrenees are stunning, I went there once and loved it! I think the ferry would also have been nice but I'm sure driving through France was still worthwhile ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Hey guys, I think I just saw you in Belgrade, are you here or do you have some real doppelgรคngers here? P.S. Friendly photographer neighbor, couldnโ€™t find you on Insta ๐Ÿ˜

  8. Looks to be about 1,250 miles from Antwerp to Porto (for a rough approximation of mileage). How do you spend $1,100 in gas in 1,250 miles?!? How the heck expensive is gas there???
