BUDDYMOON DAY 452/1000 (VLOG 135)
Finally, we made it to Malacca, Malaysia! Because this little city is a unesco world heritage city, there is just so much to explore. We started off with the Flor De La Mar, a portuguese ship that was carrying Malay treasures worth $2.5 billion before is sank to the bottom of the ocean in the 1500’s. It’s said that this ship has never been found, so where are these treasures?
We moved on to the A Famosa, to explore a little of that the portuguese fort ruins and also the dutch area. This is where there dutch had made their base during their rule over Malacca.
As Malacca is also a food haven in Malaysia, we decided to try some Cendol, which is a must when in Malaysia.

https://youtube.com/shorts/hcaZC52IU0U?feature=share😂❤🧿
Is these 2.5billion dollars today's currency or that time currency estimation
Another v informative vid about Melaka. I burst out laughing when Leanne innocently said the green bit of the cendol was noodles🤣🤣…looks like some green soba noodles fell into the cup.😂😂Thank you for the historical info which I never knew.
What happened to the fort? Did it got destroyed by the Dutch or the British?
You guys have done good homework about history of this town. Very informative. Great and enjoy to watch. Two thumbs up for sure. Thanks and take care of yourself guys.
This is how Europe got rich, by looting asian and south american countries, destroying their civilizations. This is the dark truth they won't ever acknowledge. But enjoyed your video, like always 👍
Hi Danny you found the treasure who is next to you her name Leanne ❤.
Looking forward for your next video
Actually, this video is probably the best I have seen of a YouTuber presenting the colonial historic part of Malacca in a coherent and factual.manner.. The remnants of the A Famosa was actually saved from complete destruction by the British colonial authority, when Sir Stamford Raffles of Singapore, intervened to put a stop to destroying of historic structures. His intervention came rather late.
The last time i was in Malacca and at this place…. around a year ago….. The inner part of the church was under restoration…. least it's good that you are able to explore the whole area….Nice to see and hear from a different perspective who has never been here before….. Enjoy your stay in Malacca .. Cheers mate!
You guys should try 'Keria gula Melaka' the Malacca's signature sweet with a mini donut look alike.
Love all the details on the Malacca's history ❤ to add some, the St. Paul's Hill is originally where the royal palace of Sultan Melaka was before it was destroyed by the portuguese.
That cendol is a fancy one 😂 if you are still in Melaka, try their famous coconut shake near Klebang. Asam pedas pari (stingray) also recommended but might be too spicy.
That cendol looks like my nightmare. I keep worrying our sg food will get more n more processed till we end up with Macdonald's!! Try d street food type of cendol.
I see your all vlogs and enjoy 😊😊u r so humble person 🤗🤗i. Am from punjab
Welcome to my hometown! Lots to visit and explore both cultural as well as historic. Take a visit if you want to the Baba Nyonya Heritage House in Jonker Walk to learn about the Peranakan Culture. Enjoy!
So interesting to see Tourists take on trying local food for the first time
The St Paul church was Malacca Sultanate Palace before Portugal destroy it
The big grave stones in the white church have the Dutch language written on them.
You guys had ice kacang in Singapore. It should be similar, the one you had seems gimmicky
The bloody Euorpeans looted and colonized Asia numerous times. Glad Porturgual is now a country just exporting canned fish.
This trip reminded me a bit of the uncharted video game series. Amazing.
Don’t forget to try cendol in Penang. If you drop by Ipoh, please try the famous Tau Fu Fah – Funny Mountain and the original white coffee – Nam Heong.
Melaka boasts a number of interesting museums.. there is a Ghost Museum, Prison Museum and even a Submarine Museum in Klebang.
I found a tiny family shop which makes the BEST CENDOL = The shop is actually on the street where they had preserved blacksmith shops. This is on the street called Jalan Tukang Besi (tukang besi = blacksmith). This is just 2 streets parallel to the Jongker Walk and nearer the river end of the road. Google for the shop = The Kappan House.
Malacca(Melaka) name also stated in the Map of the World at the Monument of Discoveries in Lisbon, Portugal…In Melaka also, there is Portuguese Settlement(Perkampungan Portugis) that still exists…. 😊
ok this is one of the best afamosa vid ive seen
good job guys that was great
There are exact same Dutch churches in a place called Vasai, a small town close to Mumbai
Why are you covering all Asians country just because it's cheap to enter. Visit Israel, or eurp, or North Korea

Superb 🔥
kalau dia fikir dia ada hak utk harta yg diangkut Portugal, dia pasti sedar dia punya hak mewarisi dosa nenek moyang moyot dia yg menyebabkan pembunuhan dan penindasan oleh potugis, hutang darah dibayar darah, setuju… jangan terlalu bangga berjalan di kota pembinaan potugis kerana jauh di bawah perut bumi melaka tertanam puing2 kota Melaka yg jd rebutan penjajah
Love from 🇸🇦❤️🇵🇰
Not sure if you have already done so, but visit Mauritius as well. Colonized by Dutch, French and English settlers. From Mauritz Van Nassau (where Mauritius gets its name) to the last British Governor Sir John Shaw Rennie, through slavery and indentureship, Mauritius is a country full of history and culture (through the years of settlement.)
Hi guys, thanks for the video. As for the cendol, you walked past a well known cendol place just after you crossed the road from the Red Square. Please try a proper cendol from the Nonya stores. The one you bought is very commercialised. Enjoy the food.👍🏼
I am from India, came across your channel today and just fell in love with how you always try to get the best from and mingle into every culture instead of going for the MacD's and KFCs in the bigger cities
Loving both of you
Keep grow
Love from INDIA 🇮🇳
