  1. LOL! "They are coupled. I'm still single". Same here Solo-san, same here! Your future partner better love to travel! You should work for the Japanese tourism board!

  2. 富士山は見えましたか?
    進行方向右側の席に座ると富士山が見えます。
    新型車両のN700Sにもぜひ乗ってくださいね。

  3. I can’t get over how hotel rooms in Japan are so inexpensive relative to hotel rooms in the U.S.A. … are all of Japan’s hotels government-subsidized, or something?

  4. Reminds me of my shinkansen trips in Japan.
    Wow. Flight on land.
Tokyo to Nagano, Toyama, Osaka, Sendai and Niigata. Been around Japan by shinkansen and I'm grateful.

  5. My dream trip is to take a shinkansen in winter from Tokyo station to Hakodate station in the winter wonderland atmosphere.
Hope to do that one day.

  6. Interesting small differences on the different Shinkansen trains, like the different accents (American and English) used for the announcements in English. The announcements on the Tokaido train were very clear.
If someone decided to set off on the earliest train and eat ekiben only for all meals rather than stopping for a meal, how far would they get I wonder?

  7. STJ, I really love your channel. Amazing work you do. Thank you very much. I really envy you for this amazing travel-friendly land you live in. Food and travel combined like in probably no other country in the world. And as an old train-friend I would really love to travel in Shinkansen one day. I only know German trains (and ferries) – the ICE train is a good train – but it is no Shinkansen. Too bad Japan is on the other side of the planet.
