    Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau castles, Germany, walking tour 4K 60fps – Famous Disney Castle



    Hello, today’s tour is in a fairytale places. We visit the most famous two castles in Germany, Neuschwanstein or the famous Disney castle and Hohenschwangau castle. In addition, we explore the Schwangau town and the Alpsee lake in the German Alps.
    Neuschwanstein castle or Schloss Neuschwanstein as it is called in German, located in Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by King Ludwig II. Construction began in 1869, but was never fully completed. The king died in 1886 before the castle was completed and shortly after his death, the castle was opened for the public. Today, the Neuschwanstein castle is one of the most visited castles in the world. The castle is believed to be real inspiration for the castle in the Disney’s famous movie and in the Disney land. It looks very similar to the “Sleeping Beauty’s” castle in Disneyland.
    Hohenschwangau Castle, is a 19th-century castle in southern Germany. It was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria and was built by his father, King Maximilian II of Bavaria. From there, you can also see the Neuschwanstein castle above on the mountain.
    In this tour, we start from the Schwangau village walking to the Hohenschwangau Castle, exploring the castle and its gardens and the views from there before we head to take the bus up to the Neuschwanstein and exploring the area around it. Later we continue the tour in Schwangau village until the amazing lake in the German Alps region which is Aplsee lake.

      Contrary to what some believe, King Ludwig got along well with the town that he presided over and some say he was a more generous king than history implies. One boy was constantly visiting the construction site and had trouble remembering when to get home. The king met him many times and after the boy was scolded by his father for coming home late one time, the king gave him his pocket watch so he would know when to get home! Also, music lovers should be happy that he loved Richard Wagner's music as much as they do. He personally sponsored Wagner and some of the paintings in the castle are based on Wagner's works. Without him, Wagner's music career could have ended VERY quickly…
