  2. Mexico used to be cheap but is getting very expensive.. some places like Tulum are now shockingly expensive. Even Mexico City is very expensive now with the huge influx of digital nomads

  3. I would like to retire next year but need to survive on Social Security at $1200 USD per month, and so I appreciate these interviews with folks who have "boots on the ground" to get a better perspective. Most grateful for these videos.

  4. I'm a writer from Mexico; we talked before, and I've followed you for years. I Went two times to the Philippines in 2022. Right now, the Mexican peso is at a big-time high. While in the pandemic, 1000 dollars gave me 25k, I only get 17k MXN or less now, so it's getting much more expensive.

In the Philippines, my US dollars are still 54 or 55 each, and if you select your foods and buy at local markets, you can live for pretty cheap. When I was in Davao alone without girls, I remember eating six eggs and two potatoes, one big meal daily for about 65 cents. I did this one whole week to check if I could live on the bare minimum. Of course, I don't pay foreign tax on markets cause I don't look like a foreigner; they think I'm Filipino.

Last time, I wanted to stay but got my card blocked and panicked, so I returned to Mexico.
I got a one-way ticket to return next October. If I can use Gcash (I had trouble setting it up) and link it to my Payoneer account, it shouldn't be a problem retiring in the Philippines at 35.

Let's hang out there. I don't think you have interviewed a Latino living there yet.

  5. Dan, Mexico vs. Philippines Low Cost challenge!! I'll represent Mexico as home owner- You select 100 items we all use/have: One month electric, one year car insurance, one year property tax, 5 standard avocados, etc!! LOL. (just a rough idea- And maybe I am not the right person as I have lived here so long as to be down to the nubs) Best-Tim

  6. The current market buzz certainly offers a fascinating viewpoint. Itโ€™s quite startling to witness such bold predictions about the future trajectory of certain cryptos and stocks. The fervor around AI and the robot-taxi concept appears to be inflated. Amidst this, itโ€™s essential to keep oneโ€™s feet on the ground and not be swayed by these forward-looking statements. My strategy in the climate has been to trade judiciously, and secure profits, and I canโ€™t praise Janet Santa Sherry enough for her stellar work in analyzing charts, trades, and techniques. Her expertise has been instrumental in expanding my portfolio to a whopping $247k in just few months. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to grow their investments.

  7. Maybe his stories are true or not doesn't really matter….he is a good story teller. Just seems that he is extremely lucky – never pays "normal" prices…..

  8. Early, I've always wanted to retire to San Miguel. But now I am also looking at Panama and Asia. Thank you for your videos.

  9. You BOTH appear so young. That to me is the proof in the pudding. I am about 50. My partner is 50. I want to remain youthful like you two. This is what I love about watching you in your dialogues! Thank you and keep being young at heart!

  10. Robert, Regardless of your consulting fee, weโ€™ll be dickering the cost. ๐Ÿ˜‰. Dan, loved the interview. Kindly continue the good work that you do! JM

  11. Interesting there are quite a few unintelligent and ignorant comments here. Please comment if you actually live there. If no, just appreciate the given information.

  12. Hello Dan, Robert made me laugh, can you please tell Robert that when he said " you have to have some Kahunas " please tell him he is saying that wrong , in the context of what he is trying to express is not like he said " Kahunas " a " Kahuna " is ( in Hawaii ) A wise man or a shaman. In the context of what he was expressing the correct word is " cojones " pronounced " Cohones " which means , a man's testicles in Latin American Spanish to say someone needs to have cojones it means to have courage ; guts.

  13. Hello Dan and Robert. Good morning, I enjoyed watching you both in this video, its like you brought me into different places early this morning while im still in my bed and watching your video… I can imagine how its look like, how it feels like, my imagination is working and feels good, it gives me good vibes. Thank you๐Ÿค—

  14. Hi Dan one of your biggest fans here Pauline from NZ Bob has some good points and love his attitude. Before i subscribe to his make it happen i would appreciate your feedback on my particular journey
I am 76 and always have made "things happen" in my life eg at age 59 after retiring i got bored and created a job for myself in the pacific islands runnong a hospital..my back ground is in the medical industry. However i find i have become complacent and am struggling to break out of the safety barriers that often accompany a more mature age. I would be so keen to hear vids and feedback from your followers that have rebooted their lives
