Travel is a form of education. Every travel excursion could add a layer of understanding to your knowledge of people, food, culture, and history. It’s how you can learn the untold and nuanced histories not often featured in schools. Especially the histories of groups not often featured.
Franny is on a mission to educate and inspire others to travel intentionally and in a way that helps showcase underrepresented groups and specifically Black people.
In this talk, Franny will share:
– How traveling with a Black frame of mind has enhanced her trips
– Strategies for how to intentionally plan trips & travels in a way that supports minority-owned businesses
– How to seek out experiences that feature the history of Black people in the area
– Her favorite Black-owned travel businesses worth using
