On my 9th, and final full day in Deutschland, I decided to go all out and do as much tourist stuff as I could physically take after vlogging all over a week.

I walked past the TV tower, saw the Neptune fountain, rode the double decker bus, rode a boat tour, went to several museums, and then met up with my friend Ralle from @GorelemMusic

A super thanks go out to my parents for being executive producers for these adventures!

  1. Awesome tour of Berlin!!! I’ve never been there before. My sister went there when she lived in France in 2000. She said much of Berlin was destroyed in WWII and a lot of it has been rebuilt. So much history ! Thanks for taking us along on this tour!!!!!!

  2. A lady YouTube er who cleans houses and apartments for free from Finland takes the bottles to recycle and uses the money towards things the homeowner needs like kitchen items and sheets or pillows. Aurikatikrena if I spellt her name right.

  3. 10:24 Bellevue Palace is still the main office of the German Federal President, it used to be the secondary residence when the capital was Bonn during the division of the country. If the federal flag flies above the roof, the President is in residence/in the country.

  4. 22:35 Translation for those doorbell voices: 1st voice (in a stereotypical saxonian accent): Good day, this is your ABV*, I would like to check your house register**, would you please open the door?" 2nd voice: "Hello it's Heike! Can Rainer come down to play?" *ABV was the "Abschnittsbevollmächtigter (section officer)" , basically your local "friendly" neighborhood beat cop, who was responsible to keep order and a watchful eye for everything happening in his area. He had to know everything about everyone living there and landlords were required to have a "Hausbuch (house register)" which contained all data about every tenant living in the house and also every visitor that stayed more than 3 days (in case of foreign visitors, 24 hours). Foreign visitors also had to register themselves with the local police and the receipt was kept in that register. Police and State Security frequently checked those registers for irrgeularities and to gather intel.

  5. From historical sites to vibrant neighborhoods, your video showcases the diverse range of experiences Berlin offers. Makes me want to book a trip ASAP!
