    Etihad A380 – World’s Best First Class?



    The king of the skies – A380 is back at Etihad. I sampled some of the finest First Class premium experiences onboard Etihad A380 from London to Abu Dhabi.

    Etihad A380s were grounded and stored in Teruel, Spain. Earlier this year, the airline made an announcement that 4 of its A380 will be returning to service flying between London and Abu Dhabi. The Captain gave a thorough briefing of the flight and how the crew has to re-qualify to fly on the A380. Enjoy the takeoff footage from the cockpit.

    Etihad has 9 First Class apartments in unique seating configurations. The best seat is window seat 4A and 4K with forward facing. During the flight, I sampled their First Class offerings of pajamas, amenities, food, and beverage including caviar and steak cooked to my liking. The ottoman can be converted into a flatbed while you still have space. This unconventional design makes the Etihad First Class apartment stand out. I was even offered a shower at 39,000 feet.

    Before landing, I have an opportunity to visit The Residence which is a 3-room suite with your own living room, bathroom and bedroom. After the flight, I gave my full verdict on Etihad A380 First Class.

      Sam – great idea regarding the flight rating system! It's is nearly impossible for an airline to get it 'right' 100% of the time. So an average score across many travellers will be much more accurate, and valuable!

      The crew look so genuinely happy to be back on the A380. IF nothing else it is a sign that their industry is getting healthier. That and I am sure they love to fly.

      Sammy's a sell out, common knowledge from what I've heard, is it true, or isn't it? A lot of people who do the same thing don't think very highly of him. And if you listen to how well he praises all the airlines he flies with, one has to wonder. I don't think I've ever heard him do real criticism on any airline he goes with. What's that about? I'll probably be banned for talking like this, it's easy to find out if that's been done, see if it happens I'll let everyone know. It will prove the point that Sammy has never flown an aircraft he didn't like! Let's see how this goes! The only pushback I hear Sammy likes are when the planes are being pushed back for take off!

      Etihad Toronto to Abudabhi service is really bad. Ground staff are also really bad and they are rude also. Its totally a garbage. Never recommend Etihad.

      Hello Sam , So love ur travel blogs about all the worlds airlines, I so envy you travelling business class and first class all over the globe , you are so lucky : > ) I cannot afford even to fly business class so to see your vids gives me a glimpse of how the other half fly > ) If I ever managed to fly First Class Etihad would be my first choice of airline : > ) It looks an amazing experience .       Hi Sam, my son (10) is a very keen aviator and is an avid fan of your channel. We were just watching one of your videos and he said 'the only country Sam hasn't visited is Cyprus or flown on Cyprus Airways !!!'       I've already ridden the first class of Etihad several time. This is perfect
      I took on a plane from seoul to Abu Dhabi and it was A380
      Now l'm poor….haha

      Hello Sam, I just subscribed to your channel, although I've already watched many Videos of yours. I really appreciate that you've pointed out that your channel is not about making flight reviews but more of an entertaining one, with behind the scenes and cockpit filming and that said, it is of course mandatory to ask the airline in advance. I didn't know that before, because I always had the feeling, is this really unbiased? Now I know better😉 thank you very much for the insights and beautiful footage.

      Excellent video, so glad to see the A380 back. I'm currently in London and saw so many A380s at LHR last days, it's a blast! On a side note, there are sadly 4 airlines that retired the A380, as Hi Fly also retired it

      Sam is so lucky to get these FREE INVITES to fly these airlines…everything provided, the flight, the class and perks are all FREE to Sam Chui…..people in the real world have to pay for this treatment, but Sam gets it for FREE…..keep giving good reports Sam, and maybe one day you will be rewarded the RESIDENCE to fly for FREE AGAIN
