I am on a boat and bike trip in Burgundy (in France) with Boat Bike Tours. We sail over the river Yonne, with many locks, and cycle past wheat & sunflower fields. On the way we met many local producers, such as a cider and wine maker. Even more special are the encounters with the people on board.

What a nice way of discovering an area, and as you say it's nice to sometimes have nothing to plan for food, sleep, etc. and just envoy life as much as we can!
So glad you are back doing what you do so well, sharing your adventures in a relaxed and personal way. This kind of boat and bike tourism seems perfect. A perfect blend of luxury and physical exertion. I find the large cruise ships that are so popular to be very unattractive. Large hordes of people swarming over their destination cities. These small river barges seem so much more attractive. You can explore local attractions as a smaller group, and make friends along the way.

Well done. One Question: Do they have E-Bikes on these trips ?? my wife and I are both in out 70's we do cycle but are concerned about the daily distances covers on the trips ??.
