WHAT WE PURCHASED (and how to do it cheaper). Our total was about $850, it can be done for about $500, see notes.

Four cameras: https://www.supercircuits.com/4-megapixel-starlight-ip-turret-security-camera-98-feet-night-vision-hnc14-uai-0

One NVR recorder: https://www.supercircuits.com/8-channel-ultra-h-265-ip-network-video-recorder-nvre0801-0

The reason to get 8 channel is if you want to have more than four cameras, either now or in the future. If you know you want just 4 channels you can save by ordering a four channel NVR.

When we ordered the recorder, we added 2 Terabyte memory which they installed. We see that we have about two weeks of data by leaving four cameras on all the time. Therefore we think you’ll be fine by adding just 1 Terabyte memory at time of order.

  2. I understand not being able to go back to court, but you are funding the illegal ticketing, that you found was for something that isn't even a traffic citation. Thus, it is illegal stop and illegal ticket. If you don't fight it, the Kentucky Highway Patrol will continue to garner illegally attained funds.

  3. I'm a 30 year retired truck driver. Sorry, you guys are wrong. Most States laws regarding emergency vehicals on highways is; to move over or slow down! You didn't slow down! Very dangerous for everyone, you deserved the ticket! If your traveling the highways don't assume anything, it's better to know the laws.

  4. I think that's a dirty trick sitting with his emergency lights on and not have a car stopped, but, from your video it looks like you could have slowed down a little more and put on your turn signal waited for that little silver car to pass you then you could have moved over. There are 3 lanes there and that silver car passed you leaving all lanes open and that's all the Officer saw as you passed him, all the lanes were open allowing you to move over safely. Maybe objects are closer then they appear but it looks like you could have moved over to the middle lane before that 1st group of cars overtook you and they could have moved over to the outside lane and safely passed you. You can see those blue lights at least a mile away you had plenty of time to move over. There are times when it's impossible to move over because of heavy traffic, but this is not one of those times. Full disclosure I'm retired LEO with 36 yrs on. Your video incriminated not exonerated you.

  5. You can fight it. You won't win as a tow truck driver. You put a lot of people's lives at risk by not slowing down below 40 mph. If you can't get over little loan the officer's life at risk if he's not in the car so I think the ticket is legit and you should have to pay a fine like they do here in Colorado. We just got a new law that starts here in August that states if the speed limit is more than 45 you must slow down to 25. If you can't get over, just saving lives. That's all I'm saying

  6. Most tickets are given out in order to raise money for the municipality – the more important priority over actually fostering safe driving.

  7. Watch-out for New Mexico & Arizona States along Hwy 10, cops will $$$ attack out of State drivers, 1mile over the speed limit can be made up to ten miles!

  8. My only suggestion is to practice a "high visual horizon". Look as far down the highway as you can. By doing this you can almost always move over unless traffic is extremely heavy. If you feel you can't move over, make sure you have your left turn signal on, (or even 4-way emergency flashers), and slow down. I notice that most of my friends and family seem to drive looking at their hood ornament. Most truckers, (professional drivers), will tell you to always look as far down the highway as you can see.

  9. When we got our fifth wheel four years ago I almost got talked into the Anderson hitch by our rv salesman. He was so high on it and we didn’t know what we were doing at the time so I had them put it on the papers. I told him I wanted to look at it first before I signed and as soon as I saw it with my own eyes I walked right back and made them take it off. After canceling it I was so glad I did, for reasons like you experienced and because I saw pictures of Anderson hitches that failed. He tried to tell me it was because of improper installation which is probably true, but you’re also resting a lot of weight on four skinny pieces of aircraft grade aluminum. That’s a risk I was not willing to take with my three kids riding in the back seat of the truck. With a smaller fifth wheel the Anderson would probably be fine but ours is a shade under 44’ and weighs over 18k probably closer to 19k fully loaded. I went with the Reese GooseBox instead of the Anderson, the air bag inside makes a huge difference in ride comfort and it connects directly to the gooseneck ball in the bed of the truck. We have had zero problems with it and I recommend it to people all the time.

  10. Imagine if the cops put this much effort into our skyrocketing crime rates. They put all this energy and resources over something victimless. Road Pirates

  11. small space in your RV>??? really…Im sorry to tell you people normally don't live in a RV nowhere near the size you have.. top 10% maybe..

  12. The bad banana reference is not a very good one. I use ripe or dark skinned bananas to make very delicious banana bread. I get the bad day thing though……smiling

  13. It isn't just Kentucky. Several states require you to move over, or slow down. The reason is, people including cops have been injured and killed on the side of the road. They are fed up with careless drivers. It isn't about revenue. It is about awareness. While you aren't as big as a semi, you are still big. You have the responsibility to always pay attention when you are driving. I drive a semi and run 48 states and have seen many bad wrecks many of which have been RVs. Be safe, be courteous and be aware at all times.

  14. Had many RV drivers almost kill me as I ride my bike up the shoulder up mountain passes and national park roads. Speeding and swerving and all sorts of bullcrap

  15. I’m confused, you say that you must return to court to pay, but you won’t take your laptop with you and show the Judge exactly what you showed us? Did you reduce speed?

  16. I had a similar incident happen when I used to drive big trucks. Thankfully I didn't end up getting the ticket, but it still irks me a little that it even happened. This was in an area where there were posted signs for big trucks must be in right lane which I was doing until an accident happened nearly right in front me with two four wheelers passing me and they both decided to get into my lane at the same time and didn't leave any space for each other, nor enough room for me either. We were all going full interstate speed, and I had a 53 foot trailer loaded heavy so stopping quickly was not an option. Luckily, the lane to my left was clear so I got around them as safely as I could without running into them by jumping into the left lane. It was an uncomfortably quick lane change, must faster than I normally would have done, but otherwise I would have likely become part of the accident. I got arouund them and saw that there was a police car quickly coming behind me to the accident. To my surprise, he passed the accident, lights and sirens on, and motioning like he was pulling ME over. I was going to pull over anyway, expecting to be a witness in the accident, so I wasn't alarmed at first, just confused that he was trying to talk with me first instead of going back there helping the people in the accident and dealing with getting them off the freeway. As soon as I rolled my window down he told me to get out of the vehicle and directed me toward the back of my trailer and then started giving me grief for reckless driving and driving in the left lane. He didn't say anything about the accident. I tried to point at the accident and tell him what was happening right behind us, but he yelled at me for trying to interrupt him and that I need to pay attention to him. So… I just stood there and let him berrate me for a good 5 min or so till he finally stopped yelling long enough to ask me if I understood why I was getting a ticket. Only then I was able to get a word in edgewise and I told him I had to get in the left lane quickly to avoid the accident, He then he looked back at what I was pointing at. Without another word to me, he got in his car and backed up to the accident and started dealing with them. I waited there behind my trailer for a few minutes and finally asked another policeman that had showed up if I needed to stay and told him what had happened with the first officer. He said to go on my way. I'm glad I didn't get a ticket, really glad I had room to get over into that left lane to avoid a close call with the entanglement, but dang… it was the first time I ever had a negative experience with a policeman and I admit it still irks me. Please please please anyone reading this, don't cut in front of big trucks or other long vehicles, give them LOTS of room in front so they have plenty of reaction time and room to stop in case something goes awry.

  17. I believe you should have seen them up in the distance started to move over sooner. Even if there's only one car passing you you could have probably got on the brakes and move over one time. Comment of a redneck speed trap doesn't sit well with me but that's just me
