You are wondering how to travel Laos? Coming by land or by plane? Which are the highlights of Laos? In this video I give you an overview what budget you need to travel Laos, how much to pay for the visa, how easy it is to get around (transportation by bus, slow boat, boat, mini bus etc.) and what are the highlights you should visit.

Our itinerary for Laos:
1. Vientiane
2. Vang Vieng (tubing, hiking, blue lagoon, relaxed place)
3. Luang Prabang (amazing night market, great street food, Kuang Si fall is a must, Alms Giving Ceremony of monks)
4. Nong Khiaw (on the river side, amazing view point – this is Lao!!!)
5. Muang Ngoy (no cars, home stays, hammocks, hikes through national park)
6. Slow boat border crossing from Luang Prabang to Thailand via Pak Beng and Huay Xai.

  1. Great info dude. If i can suggest a tip…..it's a video, less with the selfies, and show us more of the surrounding location. Cheers 🙂

  2. Great informative video! I will also visit Laos for about 12-13 days and am glad to see that I have the exact same places planned (except for the boat to Thailand, I'm flying).

  3. Going to Laos next week – pretty much doing the same tour as you Vientiane – Luang Prabang… would like to do the Gibbon Experience but just don't have time. Cool vid!

  4. Great info! My partner and I will be in Laos–and only Luang Prabang–for 4 full days and nights. Do you think that there's enough to do there that warrants us spending our entire time there and in the surrounding area? Or do you recommend traveling to Muang Ngoy for a day or even for an overnight stay? Any additional suggestions about what to do–and not to do–for a 4-day excursion warmly accepted! Thanks!

  5. Awesome content! Laos has some really great things to do an experience, not many people realize this! We also did Luang Prabang and the boat cruise from Thailand to Laos in our vlog! Keep up the good work! 🙂

  6. hey man, thanks for such an informative video about South East Asia. I am actually travelling right now, and this has been very helpful. I am in Chiang Mai, for few days and from here I am going to Laos. than Vietnam and down back into Thailand. So, yeah thanks again.

  7. Finally, I will go to Laos. I'm driving from Phuket to Vietnam and back to Phuket passing by Cambodia. Am near Udon tranI. So far, I'm not that impressed with Thailand. I didn't went everwhere and I won't either. Didn't like much Phuket -Patong. Expensive tourist trap. Too much rain in ko Samui but it was an other expensive tourist trap.. I may go back in a month or two on my way back to Phuket, to be able to say I really visited it. Driving Thailand is a charm. Roads are near perfect and people drive in a civilized way.
