    TRIP REPORT | To Mallorca with German Tourists! | CONDOR Boeing 757 | Dusseldorf to Mallorca



    Condor Trip Report flying from Dusseldorf to Palma de Mallorca onboard one of the Condor Boeing 757 on a lovely summer early morning.

    A comfortable flight from Dusseldorf to Mallorca onboard the Condor Boeing 757. There are not many 757 flying in Europa nowadays and Condor is the only operator of the longest variant of this classic plane: the Boeing 757-300W.

    We arrived early at Dusseldorf airport. Based on our last experience 2 years ago at this same time, I didn’t want to risk another 2h in a queue. Surprisingly, this time everything went super smooth. No delays at all at the controls. The lines for check-in luggage, however, were still there. But not as long as I remembered them.

    We finished boarding ahead of the scheduled time of departure but due to a slot, we departed slightly late. That turned out to be great, as we departed with the Sunrise. It’s amazing how the Boeing 757 climbs. It’s known for being overpowered and today, during the initial climb, we could see it perfectly.

    We flew southbound towards Luxembourg, Nancy, Geneva, and Marseille and we entered the Mediterranean Sea. From Marseille, we flew in direct course towards Mallorca. Due to the high volume of traffic arriving at that moment to Palma, we had to make a very long approach over the island that offered us some very nice views.

      Great report sir, regarding European 757 operators here in the UK we have Jet2 still thankfully operating the 757s. As for the new Condor Colour scheme, personally it's horrible. The old colour was far more pleasing and classy, the new version makes Condor look like a cheap outfit and the cost to keep the many different versions of this must be a crazy management idea as it's so impracticable.

      They do not know what they are missing, like the Vercors Massif and without your help I would not know what I was seeing, though still enjoying the beautiful views.

      He volado varias veces con el 757-300 de DE tanto hacia Mallorca quanto hacia Grecia..Es bestial y lo adoro..Tambien el 757-200 de Jet2..Para mi la nueva pintura es horrible, pero no se puede hacer nada sobre eso..Estas seguro de que ese avion tiene 262 asientos porque el sitio de Condor dice 275

      The new livery of Condor? To me it looks like a highway maintenance vehicle or a really slender traffic cone. Your breakfast looked somewhat decent, kind of, almost. People clapping after landing….I never understood that. Just tell the pilot "Hey great job of not crashing".

      I love the hooped livery, it's fun! And I'm with you, always try and get a window seat, the joy of flying is the view out the window!

      The B757 seems such a nice plane, even the interior.
      Can't understand people who complain about the upcoming A321XLR. Those people would probably complain even harder if they would have to fly long distance on an even smaller private jet, like a Gulfstream.

      It`s my beloved homeairport and – yes – the situation at the airport has vastly improved! The remaining problems are not limited to Düsseldorf but to German passengers in general: They are mostly not reading or disregarding information, not listening to announcements, bringing oversized and/or too many cabin-baggage, not following/understanding even the easiest boarding procedures and therefore leading to an mostly very slow boarding process 😵‍💫! But – as always – great video 🙂!
