Jimmy & Natile travel across Europe eating pizza daily!
Aldi grocery stores are cheap and a lot have hot food. Plus it’s fun to shop in the local grocery stores.
You'll definitely be experts on German Pizza's…😊
A few years ago, my wife and I traveled across Germany, Italy and France with just our backpacks. We also flew to Frank and started there. We were already seasoned travelers and knew some secrets. Visit a few bakeries and markets and buy ingredients for lunches. Many of our dinners were at low key pubs where we would eat the special of the day. Our budget for food was $20 a day, but it was nearly impossible to stay on it. We ended up increasing that amount to $25 a day, which worked okay. We would often stay at homes that had a room for rental and found many places at $40 a night or slightly more. Often times the family would feed you dinner as well for that $40. They wanted to meet Americans and hear our stories. Munich and some of the larger cities can be a little rough at night. Also, never, ever, set your backpack down and look away, especially in crowded spaces. Also, keep your passport and some cash on your person and hide it well. There are many sites to visit that are free or very low cost. My wife and I enjoyed visiting churches, parks and bookstores. Have a great time and don't hesitate to ask for advice. Nearly everyone speaks English and we were always treated well…especially when we behaved, were kind, soft spoken…and not the typical Loud Mouth demanding American. 😂
I enjoyed this, it brought back memories of my travels in Europe! I'm hoping youll go to Rothenburg, its a beautifully preserved medieval town. If you're there overnight, the night watchman leads a walking tour most evenings. Looking forward to wherever you go, though!
I am following the 2 of you already a couple of years , for the travel in Germany you should have bought a month ticker for the railroad , trains , cost is 49 Euro per person for 4 weeks . When you need to buy food , all over Europe you have Aldi and Lidl , best place to save money . As soon as you come to eastern Europe , like Bulgary , Romenia , Serbia , Greece , everything is much cheaper then Countries like Germany , Austria , etc , Switzerland is very expensive . But for the best Pizza´s you have to go to Italy . Wishing you a great journey and a good time .
So glad you guys are doing this and vlogging it. I've never had any interest whatsoever to go to another country. I figured I'd like to see all of USA before I go overseas and there's a lifetime of things to do and see in USA, but it's totally cool seeing the sights and methods of travel etc in other countries. Also, I remember what I was going to suggest last video…. Had you guys ever thought of trading Van Life with another couple in another country for like a month? I'm pretty sure, I seen at one time, someone did that with an Aussie couple. The Aussie couple used their van in USA and they used the Aussie couple's van in Australia. This way you don't have Van rental expenses in the other country, and you don't have the transportation cost to have your van taken to another country. Find you a couple in another country that does YT and watch their videos so you get to know them and see if they're someone you could trust or not and then hit them up for a Van swap. Seems it would sure cut down your expenses of seeing another country.
Plz have fun and stay safe on your wondering around. It’s been fun watching you two . God bless.
Fun fact, the wurst is called "Frankfurter" in Vienna, Austria. In Germany it is called "Wiener". And its not a "Bockwurst" (called in another comment).
By the way, wellcome in my hometown Munich.
Loving the travel videos. Ya'll look like you're having a blast. See ya next week.❤
check the restaurants ratings on Google gps. Stick to 4 or 5 stars. It works in Europe too and we found it to be accurate. 😊
Unsubscribing. Don’t care about Europe, maybe see ya when back in states. Enjoy your trip.
Döner is a very inexpensive Turkish/German food you definitely have to try in Germany. Also bakeries have really good sandwiches, and other pastries for a good lunch or breakfast option.
I hope you contacted your cell phone carrier and got international passes or you will return with huge bills! I want to go to Munich!!! Happy Backpacking!
I also have very bad motion sickness. I have been using ginger Travacalm tablets, there are many versions of them sold across the world. I have been able to fly, do bus trips, boat rides and even balloon rides without having any major issues. Hope that helps. Loving your travels.
Enjoy Europe! I lived in Germany for 16 years!!!
that is where we got our hot dogs from. IE natural hotdogs here in the states.. thanks for sharing guys, stay safe over there.
Natalie, great job being the trip planner. You did so well gwtting to the different destinations. So surprised how nice the hostel private rooms are. Is there an age limit to renting them? Maybe the only way I could afford to see parts of Europe is backpacking. How is carrying your pack?
Just curious what goes into $100 budget. Does it include hostel, food and travel?
HI JIMMY & NATALIE 👋
SEEMS LIKE YOU'RE PICKING UP THE LANGUAGE A LITTLE BETTER. THE HOT DOGS LOOKED TASTY ! THE PLACES WHERE YOU STAYED AT LOOK LIKE THEY'RE CLEAN BUT YOU BOTH WOULD KNOW BETTER. DIDN'T SEE TRASH AROUND WHERE YOU WERE GOING , BUT SAW SOME GRAFFITI WHERE YOU WERE WALKING / GOING BY . THE LAST PIZZA LOOKED LIKE FROM HERE HOPEFULLY TASTE GOOD ? HOW WERE THERE STREETS / ROADS ? SMOOTH OR POTHOLES ? BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 THANK YOU 🙏
Natalie your new outfit looks really nice, like those slacks. The hostels are way nicer than I expected. And well 🍕rules! Enjoy.
Tip1: take the fruit tea bag and put it in your water bottle. It will make great flavored water 👍
Tip2: appreciate the food in each country as they specialize there. So, no, you aren't going to get good pizza in Germany, it's not Italy😉
Germany is top of the bucket list. Loving this series and seeing all the places I want to go visit.
I love watching you two. You both always enjoy everything you do.
If you get to Berlin, you have to try a dish called curry wurst, it is to dye for. also check out the Kaiser Wilhelm Church, , Brandon Burg gate and the Checkpoint Museum.
brank
You guys should fly Ryanair. It's dirt cheap! When we lived in Europe we flew with them all the time.
Hi Jimmy and Natalie! Loving the new adventure. If you like the pizza in Germany, just wait until you get to Italy!
Have a great time ,and stay safe ///////
Where ever you go, try to stay away from the tourist places to eat, look for where the locals eat.
Natalie’s blond hair is really pretty 2 thumbs up
Looks like you're having a blast! I know the frankfurters were huge, but c'mon… That ketchup bottle was ridiculous😂
The "mistakes" we've seen you make are nothing serious, and they add to the memories you have and the stories you're sharing! Love it❤🐢
Starting off right free is good even if its tea and coffee ☕. Just like on the States go to the supermarket and get your food. Frankfurters snap when you bite them. Lived in Germany for 8 years
On hot days try ordering a Radler it's beer with sprite or lemonade.
Check out Dan at Vagabond Awake. He does great boots on the ground tips for Europe but really specializes in south east asia.
Be safe and thanks for sharing your journey outside your comfort zone. 💪👍🌞🏆🎁
You two are doing great! Hope you get some cheaper hostels so you have more $ in the budgets for local food specialties!
grew up in Kassel – which is about an hour north of Frankfurt. I recommend to visit Hamburg if you can – it’s kinda like Boston.. you also have to try Currywurst and Döner Kebap at any of the middle eastern Imbiss stands
Have you noticed how clean the streets and sidewalks are?
Hey guys, you have this amazing opportunity to enjoy Europe. We realize you’re trying to stick to your budget but don’t let that keep to from the experience of Europe. Just have fun first.
Why would you travel to Germany just to eat pizza…. Your third world attitude Is showing…so sad that you can't be adventurous and immerse yourself in the country's culture, but expect other countries to be americanized your arrogance and ignorance is astounding maybe read up on where your traveling too you are sad little people with your closed minds
Look for nasal spray with .1 % of its main active ingredient. Most have .05 % so it will be a search. Use it the night before the flight and an hour before takeoff. This will help keep the bad stuff in the recycled air from entering your nasal "pours".
Try Sea Bands. They have pressure points for motion sickness. They run about $10 in the states.
Please include where you stayed in your videos. ❤
