    Living in the Lower Omo Valley, this area has undergone a lot of pressure over the years.

    In this video we cover ourselves in a bit of cow dung and scars. We dive deep into Mursi culture and talk about rites of passage, the ethics of lip plates, arranged marriage, and whether this is the most dangerous tribe in the Africa

      You want women to still wear lip plates. She just said it was uncomfortable and she was forced to get it because the man her father was marrying her to-she had no choice-wanted it. She tells you she only wanted to do her ears, and right after you say you want to live in a world with lip plates. You realize it's harder to chew/keep food in your mouth because the bottom lip is stretched out, right? And that her front bottom teeth are knocked out because of it? Maybe she wants to be able to chew better. Pick some other quaint cultural trait to wax on about, not one that oppresses only women. Again, it was forced on her.

      I loved how the people were asking for his bracelets in the end, he must have really made a cool impact on the tribe. I am sure they wanted a token to remember this experience forever. OR maybe they just thought the bracelets looked really cool haha. Great video!

      Love it! Nun judgmental “we’re all human” vibes cause if it don’t get them sick and look how healthy these people are 👀 no hospital around so you know they are doing the right thing except the lip thing for women to get married but after that these people are the happiest on earth!!
