Join me as I take one of the world’s most luxurious First Class trains across an entire country. Welcome onboard the famous Blue Train, which has run for almost 100 years across giving passengers one of the most exclusive ways to travel. I’ll show you exactly what it’s like to travel for 72 hours on the rails! From the fine dining in the restaurant, to the club lounge and my favourite, the observation lounge with floor to ceiling views of the countryside. As for my room, I’ve booked two, one for my Dad (Luxury Suite) and one for myself (De Luxe Suite). The luxury suite even has a bath which should prove an interesting experience travelling at 50mph! As usual this experience was paid for by myself in full.

I've travelled on the Shosholoza Meyl from Johannesburg to Cape Town twice in 2018 & 2019. Not a luxury train, maybe 3 star, however you had a private bedroom & toilet/facilities at the end of each carriage plus all inclusive food. The food was excellent & drinks that had to be paid for were inexpensive. The booking cost was around £189. Sadly, this train service is no longer running 🙁

This brings back memories for me. I lived in South Africa for two years, and travel was always by train. The trip from Joburg to Capetown took 24 hours. We traveled in a pullman car, and I loved it. The meals were exquisite as was the service. Once we were out of the city, the train was powered by steam.
I am surprised that white people are still being welcomed. One of the country's top political leaders recently demanded that the white man be killed. Publicly. Beautiful country, indeed, but the current political leadership — as well as "the other side" — are utter moronic racists. The leadership has kneecapped the country as well.
