Have you ever felt like you are made for more than just living in one town, maybe you feel like you don’t connect to people around you OR you just have this burning desire to see the world other people don’t quite understand? Whether you relate to one of those or all 3, I have absolutely been there before. I struggled finding my footing in the US with a work culture that didn’t let me travel much and consumed most of my mental and physical time as well as feeling like I didn’t fit in when people would tell me my dreams for life were crazy or I needed to be an “adult” at some point.

In this video, I share with you the exact reasons why leaving the US has made me so much happier and the differences I experienced abroad which solidified my reasoning for moving abroad. If you are considering this life or maybe just want to find a community to relate to, you are in the right place!

  1. Nice vid! I know this question is kind of unrelated to the topic of this vid, but I wanted to ask you, were you still able to keep working in Spain while you were waiting for your nomad visa to get approved? And how did you manage to get your apartment? I will try to get my nomad visa but these are a few of the many things that I have doubts about

  2. Agree with you. I left the USA in 2005 for Europe and I have grown as a person 10 fold. If you aspire to try living in another country make it happen.
    All the best.

  3. Nice Video and thank you for the insights. We are also moving to Barcelona next year from Berlin. Can you share the Apartment Agency you used, and how happy have you been with them ? 🙂 Thank you very much

  4. You are right. The US is a joke. What do you do??? Ugg. All about work. Community and real life is more important just about everywhere else. In the US people are a commodity for businesses.

  5. Really good points! 👏 Also I’m originally from Jersey and then moved to Korea. I also originally wanted to move to Spain but somehow learned about Korea and loved it there!

  6. My whole thing is it’s only controversial because most people on this topic they all say and address the same thing as each other over and over again 😅I hear it for everyone from America but me I don’t hold back and I’ll tell y’all why everything is about money because in Canada Australia the u.k Great Britain Germany france Paris London United States all first world countries u can’t do shit without money that’s y they got rid of all nature and agriculture the past few months I have seen people hear in the United States going to the lakes and rivers trying to catch sone fish I just literally laugh and they asked me what’s funny and I just tell them like this u not going to catch no fish because there aren’t any fish in there they chemicalized all the water and the fish not dumb even though there fish they know that that’s why there not swimming in that bull crap the other thing that y’all must know and understand is what creates poverty which is what everyone overlooks the government funding programs social security food stamps financial aid section 8 subsidize housing public aid government student loans government grants government scholarships ceda HUD all bullshit yes they do have tons of poverty in developing countries but the difference is at least all they have to do is raise themselves out of poverty but in first world countries like here in the United States it’s gonna take a lot more than that for people because they have a house and a car that they don’t own and cannot afford they can only afford to pay down the monthly payments they cannot afford to pay off the interest nor the principal plus lots of people in the United States and other first world countries have loads of student loan debt and of course the credit card debt so people in first world countries have to raise themselves out of all this debt then eliminate extra expenses they created for themselves then finally raise themselves out of poverty and o if u owe the government taxes ofc that’s more debt this is why I tell Thai people and Filipino people wen I talk to them they are in much better position than people in first world countries are in seriously it’s better to just let your citizens be poor and fend for themselves but no in the United States they want I either working hard paying high taxes in return to get a mediocre low quality of life and poor public services or living off if government benefits that’s y in countries like United States Canada the u.k Australia they always talk bad about the wealthy and people who actually own there own assets property is because they don’t like that they don’t support that they don’t they don’t create prosperity they only create poverty

  7. I dream of moving to Europe. I hope one day soon I can make that happen. Everything you said about the US is so true I’m living it. Love this video it’s so inspiring!
