      I'm from Serbia and for the first time I heard someone refere to Belgrade as White Phoenix, it's actual name means The White City ,beacuse the city walls of the city were white back in the Medeval Age. Some quick history, Belgrade was first settled by humans 7000 years ago, The city was fought over in 115 wars, and was reduced to foundation stones 44 times. After innumerable scars that city is the beating heart of Serbia, a city that will alway welcome you, and will remain in your heart for all the days of your life. Welcome to Belgrade, Welcome to Serbia.

      -Do interact with the locals they are really sweet and helpful

      -Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews etc.. all live in peace and harmony♥️
