      We have just got back off Celebrity Silhouette, and le Petite Chef was only $60 dollers on there. They are obviously charging more for the newer ships. Deb.x

      Joined 2/3rds through the live but now watched all on catchup. Another enjoyable live .. I am with Paul … definitely long trousers in MDR for evening dinner. Enjoy your campervan trips.

      I agree with Paul about dressing for dinner. It's something we never get to do at home and dressing up a bit makes it special for everyone. Also, Chris Frame has an excellent video on his channel explaining the difference between cruise ships and ocean liners and he did a chat with Stephen Payne.

      Re Cunard increasing the cost per day for drink packages on 5 days or less, it actually makes sense because as Paul said they are the booze cruises on any cruise line so the drinks consumed per day are going to be higher. I’ve never cruised with Cunard but it seems all lines are making price adjustments.
      I know inflation is hitting everything and everyone hard at the moment so I looked at what I paid for my first economy flight from Australia to France in 1977 $880 return (🎉yes I am that old but still have a decent memory, just don’t ask me what I did yesterday😂) considering inflation only this is equivalent to the same flight costing over $5500 at the end of 2022. In 1977 I would have paid $1867 for a business class seat on the same flight ( and that would have cost more then $1867 back then) to be equivalent to the $9500 business class seat I paid from Australia to Athens, returning home from Malaga for my Sept 2023 flight. So airlines and cruise lines can say we’re currently getting a good deal.
      However the thing that hasn’t kept up with inflation is wages and that is where their argument falls apart.

      Watching "afterwards" . I am booked QM2 in May from NY, then P&O Britannia, then Regal Princess out of Southampton and return to NY in June. Will be looking forward to your reviews. 🙂

      Hi Paul and Carole…Ron Bennie here…no one will convince me it wasn’t The Stephen Payne in the chat. He did return his thanks to me for my compliments about his wonderful ship. Also, on a different subject, we’ve just booked our first cruise in 30 years…5 nights on Discovery Princess out of Los Angeles. We have 2 connecting mini-suites and we’re testing how our two autistic adult offspring will like the cruising lifestyle. I think they’re going to love it and your videos have really helped convince me to go for it. Many thanks to you both!

      I've booked Cunard for later in the year, when I booked, the Golden Lion was included, would we say that I was mis SOLD? or do they have a clause
