      Thailand appears to be much more modern than Vietnam. It's been about ten years since I was in Thailand. I don't remember seeing those types of stores.

      I take into the advice you mentioned many times that Thailand is not your country, why would you buy land or house. You are right. even if you have thai wife for longtime, but anything can happen in the future, if she passaway then the family won’t give the house to you. Its bad idea to sell everything in home country to buy house in Thailand something thats not going to be your name. If couple have children then maybe its ok ,can put on children’s name. Who knows some mad governement come kick all farangs out.

      Thanks for mentioning the mosquitoes, someone responded to the idea of lots of mosquitoes and said there wasn’t any where your Mom is now, because of the breeze (I think that’s what it was.)

      Same here Chuck, I’m from Tropical Far North Queensland in Australia where we have mosquitos 🦟 but my first year living in Thailand I had sore scabby legs that just didn’t want to heal from the mosquitoes in Thailand. Eventually healed with application of peroxide & I suppose my body got used to them now 🇹🇭
