    My First Time In Amsterdam! – European Motorhome Tour Episode 2



    My European motorhome trip continues and this week me and ​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@Mevi cross over into the Netherlands leaving France behind ready to meet up with the gang, Jon & Tash from ​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@lifebeyondbricks and ​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@GadgetJohn ​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@unadventurousmandy. We’ve been talking about meeting up in Europe one day when we’re all over there and that time has finally come!

    We had an absolute blast hanging out together in Amsterdam, chilling out walking round the beautiful city, eating loads and loads of amazing street foods, ahhhhh what an AWESOME time with my mates it’s been!

    All good things must come to an end as they say though and now I’m out in europe on my own! Haha I know right, how this is gonna end up is anyone’s guess!

      That brings back memories of August 2009 with our visit to Amsterdam……restaurant all you can eat ribs. How many did you get through Daz? I stopped at 3 racks. Must go back to Amsterdam again, beautiful place.

      Me and some friends rented a large motor home years ago and went to Amsterdam. Ended up down some of their tight roads following sat nav on the side of the water, my friend run over a couple of push bikes it was so tight. We managed to get out of it and pulled straight into a high street which was full to the brim of people. It was some sort of gay pride event. And all of them mobbed the motor home blocked the way climbing on bonnet, trying to get in thinking it was some sort of dogging bus. All the bright coloured ambient lights inside definitively didn’t help being lit up like a Christmas tree It was absolutely mental and extremely stressful 😂

      You know someone’s a proper foodie when they skip the first food stop we’re everyone’s eating in the hope that there’s going to be something nicer 😂😂 love it. And the cheese chips was definitely a win 😂

      Don’t know if you can still buy these huge blocked of ice, they were about 15x15x30 deep frozen, I used to buy a block a day (then 10 Francs) and that block lasted more than a day, in a coolbox, a wet cloth like a little tent over the coolbox and a ventilator, that was so nice for my late Guus my Mechelse (malinois?) Sheppard. It is really easy to make and it really last long enough to overcome the heat. Anyways what a great episode again!!

We have been for a while actually but it’s nice to visit indeed ! if you have shot this video begins of June you should be far now ? We are now in Spain in Andalusia till 04th of August !       Been to Gasper camp quite a few times, went from a family run small site to what it is now, as you say though, its ideal for the tram into Amsterdam. Must be strange when you are in a big group then fending on your own, enjoy your trip

      Hi ya great vlog im following your European adventure im going to where you are in August, what was the site called in Amsterdam please and was there a lot of spaces for motorhomes there thanks the gowerz Portsmouth

      Darren. You need to make a cardboard/hardboard template of your opening window then cut a hole in for the Aircon exhaust outlet the whole van needs to be airtight for it to work 🥶🥶only trying to help 🙏
