  1. "she is making sure i dont do anything bad" …..women are the same everywhere lol
you briefly touched upon skid row and the homeless people camped out in American citys, this problem with homeless people in city centres effects most western citys, my own city Edinburgh Scotland has a large homeless problem and many people are "pan handling" too, the vast majority of these people are heroin addicts trying to feed their heroin habit.

  2. I feel like the only obstacle for me is learning the language but maybe I am old enough now not to have to take the residency language test. I think if you are 60 or over it applies. Anyone who doesn't know Russian history or appreciates the good moral values and decent life there should not even consider moving there. Thank you for your great videos. Always something new to learn in each episode.

  3. no, not that hard, it’s hard to get residence. If you get late registering your stay, you are ***ed. In general, interacting with state institutions is hard

  4. I was in Moskow from Germany last week. A long flight from Germany to Ankara to Moskow in 8 hours. But Moskow was awesome. I'm really glad I was there. I miss it and I want to live there. Have to learn russian language.

  5. I'm watching your video the next day from St. Petersburg. The ugliest building that Igor is talking about is located at the address: Torzhkovskaya Street, 1. Yes, the house is really not beautiful, but it has an individuality))

  6. Daniel. Just found your channel a little over a week ago, and love it. I'm Canadian, but lived and studied in Russia 20 years ago now. Like most foreigners, I was touched by Russian warmness and hospitality. To be honest, I'm still hoping for a reversal in North American politics, so we can once again have peaceful relations with Russia. In my home province of Alberta, for example, we recently elected a populist, anti-war gov't (despite a big effort by outside parties for the contrary), and there are more and more anti-war voices in the US as well, which is a good sign. Nevertheless, I'm starting to take an interest in returning to Russia if things continue to spiral at home. So your channel is inspirational and full of lots of helpful information. Thank you!

  7. Plenty of historical buildings in SPB and other Russian cities have been declassified from protected to regular status via comissions on buildings and similar. Its done by bribing the officials and a LOT. This is called bribing not capitalism, Igor. We worked a number of cases in this space when i was posted in Russia. Many of them were run by international groups if developers. In early 2000 it was still orevalent as corruption was high and westerners thought that Russia was there for taking apart and being used and abused.

  8. Daniel, in one of your video you mentioned you miss mexican food. Have you tried any georgian/armenian food in Russia – they must be quite spicy and maybe similar in a way.

  9. About alcohol – just in case, alcohol consumption is prohibited in public places (doesn't matter hidden bottle or not), so police can legally issue a fine (small), but they rarely do on their own, if you dont cause any trouble.

  10. Dan now you have me thinking! Does LA have historical buildings? How about Capitol Records and the Beverly Hills Police Station. After that it is probably Hollywood related signs and symbols. What do you think?

  11. My friend, if you only try to destroy a historic building in St. Petersburg or Moscow, you will be shot right on the spot. Don't talk nonsense, please.
