This Costa Rican Zebra Tarantula is a variant of the standard black and white species that is commonly found in Central America. It was burrowed deep in a whole in the side of a walking path in a rain forest. With a flashlight illuminating the hole, we were able to light it just well enough for my trusty old Leica to snap this amazing picture of an often tricky arachnid to photograph in its natural habitat.
