Malaysia’s jungle railway absolutely blew us away!
We have loved our adventures in Malaysia and have enjoyed meeting Malaysian locals and trying lots of local Malaysian food but this train journey… it was one of the main reasons we planned to visit Malaysia in the first place! Malaysia’s jungle is so so beautiful and there was no better way to see it then travelling through the heart of it on a local Malaysian train with local Malaysian people! This is hands down one of the best ways to explore Malaysia and this jungle train is at the top of our recommendations for when you travel to Malaysia!

  1. When I was still at school, I used to take one of these trains during term breaks. My favourite memory was sitting on the steps enjoying the breeze, passing time. Just like what you guys did here. It’s the best thing about train journeys but sadly we can’t do that anymore with modern ones. I hope this experience will never disappear….

  2. Nasi Kerabu? i think you already know what is Nasi Kerabu is. But what the teachers talk about was Nasi Kerabu direct translation to English is Nasi = Rice, Ke = To, Rabu = Wednesday. So it become "Rice To Wednesday". They are just joking with you. If you are still in Kelantan, I recommend try it. The basic Nasi Kerabu should be vegetarian, minus the keropok and ask for NO BUDU (fish paste).

  3. It's a joke. They translated it to english word by word. Nasi Kerabu – if u separate the words. Nasi = rice, Kerabu, Ke is "to" in malay and Rabu is "Wednesday" which don't really make sense so that's kinda funny πŸ˜…

  4. Nasi kerabu- rice to Wednesday actually rice blue salad..u should try it..suitable for vegetarian..but ask them do not put BUDU because BUDU is anchovies paste..

  5. nasi kerabu is actually a name of a herbal rice dish, the word kerabu means salad but the blue peeps were just joking with 'nasi' = rice, 'ke' = to, 'rabu' = wednesday, the official name is just nasi kerabu or kerabu rice, it's a blue-colored rice is eaten with fried chicken or with no meat, crackers, pickles and some vegetables (also my favourite dish) The blue color of the rice comes from the petals of the butterfly pea flower, which are used as a natural food coloring

  6. The teachers were making a joke. You know nasi is rice, ke in malay is to. Rabu is Wednesday. So if you translate nasi kerabu directly to English (which is non existing) it will sound like rice to Wednesday. Nasi kerabu like nasi lemak is a food but originates in kelantan.

  7. YOU HUMAN SLAVES LIVE IN LAND NOT ON FICTION ( MONEY ) SO WHAT DO YOU NEED ARCHONS RULING YOU AND THEIR FICTION ( MONEY ) FOR ?

WHY DO YOU HUMAN SLAVES BELIEVE THAT FICTION ( MONEY ) IS REAL AND HAS VALUE ?

ARCHONS RULING YOU HUMAN SLAVES CREATED FICTION ( MONEY ) TO MAKE YOU DO EVERY EVIL POSSIBLE FOR FICTION ( MONEY ) WHICH OTHERWISE YOU WOULD NEVER DO

  8. Nasi kerabu(rice to wednesday)sound like a joke,but more sense to says..

  10. Love how cheerful you are! OK since you guys love nature and hiking if you had found out earlier, you could have made accomodations booking ahead and stopped in Dabong 2 nights. Theres a beautiful mountain with caves and waterfall to explore. Then continue the following days by the same train to Kota Baru. Anyway, hope the rest of your stay in Kota Baru will be a wonderful discovery of taste, culture and hospitalityπŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒπŸ’•

  11. I hope you will come to visit my state one day. Don't forget to visit the other states too!
