We are finally boarding our cruise ship, Oceania Marina! The Oceania cruise line features small to mid-sized ships that deliver an entirely different atmosphere and experience than what most cruises offer. We give you a tour of the ship before it is dry docked in 2023 for renovations! We had been planning this trip for 5+ years, and finally got to go! We staying in the penthouse suite after many fortunante upgrades since we started planning. Let us know if you’ve been on this ship!

We also visited La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. There’s really nothing like it, and we HIGHLY recommend going if you’re there!

Please be kind to us, as this is our first travel series, and the first time we traveled overseas together. We wanted to enjoy the trip, and also make a few videos from the footage too. The ship tour was all shot on my phone, which is why it isn’t the greatest quality. We also didn’t film as much as we should have once on board. Next time we will make a bigger effort to give you a full tour! Your thumbs up helps us grow and continue to make better videos. Subscriptions are even better 🙂 Thanks!

  1. Great video

We are headed to Barcelona next month
    Great info

    I have a Sony DCR-SX85
I get a lot of wind noise outside

Any recommendations on a wind screen using the internal mic?

Keep the videos coming as we will be visiting many of the same ports

    Thanks

    Warren

  2. Thank you so very much. You guys did a wonderful job. We are booked in a Penthouse PH2 suite aboard Marina for 56 days in 2024 Iceland and Greenland etc. Today (10-11-22) Oceania sent out the drydock schedule and their plans for reimagined bathrooms and décor.

Here is a copy of the verbage of that Oceania email:

"Dear Valued Guests and Travel Advisors,

We would like to provide you with an important update on your cruise vacation that is scheduled to sail aboard Marina.

Recently, Oceania Cruises unveiled its plans to re-inspire Marina by dramatically upgrading all of her guest accommodations and public spaces. All guest accommodations will be completely transformed and outfitted with all new furniture and furnishings, wall coverings, upholstery, lighting, technology, additional storage space, and new bathrooms.

Based on feedback from guests, one of the major upgrades to the accommodations is that bathrooms in all category C Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms, all category B1, B2, and B3 Veranda Staterooms, all category A1, A2, and A3 Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms, and all category PH1 and PH2 Penthouse Suites will now feature an oversized, walk-in shower. The dramatically more spacious and functional walk-in shower was made possible by removing the under-utilized separate bathtub and small shower stall.

These changes will debut with Marina’s November 13, 2023, sailing.

The current bathtub and shower combination bathroom configuration will remain in place in category B4 Veranda Staterooms, category A4 Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms, and select category PH3 Penthouse Suites."

  3. if you are a vegetarian, you might want to think twice before you book a Oceania ship. January 2019, my husband and I went onboard Riviera for a 10 day cruise from Miami for our 50th anniversary celebration. Being a vegetarian for over 30 years, I brought to the attention of the head waiter and the head chef that there were no VÉGÉTARIEN dishes on the main dining room menu. I was told "chefs are not going to go out of their way to cook anything that is not on the menu. you can always order an appetizer or a salad". Even though we booked a Concierge room and yet, I felt very much like a second class passenger. Since then, I have traveled with Royal Caribbean, NCL, and Celebrity, never never again with Oceania!
