Pai is one of the most popular tourist destinations in northern Thailand. It is a short drive from Chiang Mai but it is not an easy journey as the road to Pai has 762 bends!
The town is known for its nearby gorges, hot springs and waterfalls. It has a chilled out vibe but there is never too far to travel to find an all night party!
I spent my first night in Pai exploring the night market and sampling some of the food before hitting some of the town’s bars. After a few beers, I was persuaded to play some songs on guitar. I ended up playing all night, taking requests from travellers and locals with everything from The Rolling Stones to Boney M (and a lot of Bowie)!
