Love your new home in France. Enjoy it in good health. Congratulations to both! Love Cecilia’s talent and creativity. I am the same and can relate to her! Love your admiration for her talent. Your videos are lovely and entertaining. Can’t wait to see the final home reveal! Hurry Cecilia!!! 😅🙏🏻👏💗🏡
Pack the laundry bskts full of packing paper, push paper in with your foot and then give it time in the warm sun
Beautiful home and exciting ideas ahead! Cecilia, have you tried putting a rounded container inside your laundry basket after wetting the sides too? Maybe then you can mold it to the rounded shape on the sides, turn it upside down and put it out in the sun to dry? Best of luck from another Cecilia in Washington state! (formerly in PDX)
HELLO FROM SUNNY MEXICO, MERCI
If you plan to create more skylights (fenêtre de toit in French) : before doing so, you must ask for the authorisation at the Mairie (the townhall), service urbanisme. Otherwise they put a very big fine on you. In France, whenever you need something uneasy to get, il is much better to speak directly with the people in charge. It is very nice to follow your adventures which have brought you in France. but I have not understood where you have settled in the Yvelines. Local people must be quite different from those in Paris. So I hope you have found the right words to introduce yourselves to socialize as newcomers from the USA in your local area (people from Canada wouldn't have to think about it as they are considered as our "cousins"). Cheers and welcome . Bon courage pour apprendre notre belle langue
…"and two measuring tapes" on the desk next to her laptop, just in case. LOL!!! So entirely awesome!!! Followed your home search. The place you found is GORGEOUS already — so I will need a new adjective, when you are finished.
Super lovely how you talked about your wife’s drive and creativity. Congrats on the new home! 🎉
The consumption.
This was so lovely to watch, thank you. ❤
WOW
If your toilet room does not have a sink (which I think it should but French homes are weird and usually don't have them), you can install a cold water only sink easily with the water intake from the toilet and use one of those small hand sinks, my beau-pere did it for my beau-frere's home and is gonna do it for our home at some point. I don't care if the bathroom sink or kitchen sink are close by, they are on the other side of doors for us, and as a person with a uterus and stuff, lol, I really need a sink in the actual toilet
Look how handsome you are with hair. Why do you scalp yourself?
Your house looks beautiful ❤️
From Los Angeles to France. We left LA on August 17, 2022 after selling our house, then cross country to the east coast where we stayed until January 23. We flew over Zurich with our Lab, stying a month in Bormio, then reached Provence beginning of March of this year. After driving all around France, we finally just settled near Rambouillet. I do love watching your videos, and would be happy to contact if you had any time to share your experience. Thanks
OMG! Cecilia, those small chandeliers are a dream?. Where did you buy them?
Okay – now it begins. Again, I've followed you from the beginning, but have waited for the start of this chapter ever since you chose France over Portugal. It's not the things that you can do, it's the things you'll have to contract out that I find is most challenging. Especially if there's something unexpected or unforeseen, and I'll leave it at that. It's been terrific following your adventures. Prayers and best wishes to you both.
When we bought our new home, it was my husband who did the decorating and buying of the furnitures, although he had also ask my opinion with regards to the materials to be used in the kitchen. We bought decided on the color schemes of each room and kept rearranging and moving things. I wish I could have Cecilia’s enthusiasm and energy to create things. Her focus to details, and her ability to visualize are very admirable. I am more of what is convenient and comfortable kind of person and therefore sacrificing artistry and creativity. Anyway, congratulations to your new home and hoping to see more of Cecilia’s improvements on it.
Beautiful home and I can see where it is headed. Just flew to France and met someone at airport and we both figured out that we love your videos!
Much nicer to live in France where life is civilized than Portland,Oregon that has descended into a hell of dystopia where even Walmart is leaving town. But sad for the good people who can't afford to leave. I mean we all know,as we are well taught, that money is totally unimportant and if it pleases God then HE will put blessings in your life. I mean you are lovely people. Look what God has PUT in your life. I mean MONEY has got nothing to do with it,has it.
Are you going to be introducing to your new home locality those forward thinking, cosmopolitan, liberal and free thinking ideas that ive read made Portland,Oregon the ideal dream place to live back around Millenium time,a place buzzing with ideas and a non-condemnatory stance towards drug use. That worked out well.
I looooooved this! Thank you for bringing this video to us. All the best to the both of you.
Oh goodness, I was just about to ask about Cecilia's sigh, and you answered it! As a cancer myself, I can absolutely sympathize with her. We recently moved, too, and only the lack of money is stopping me from renovating the sh"t out of our space. And just as Cecilia, EVERYTHING is a priority, and am always nitpicking every little thing that can be improved. Big plans are coming.
Besides that, I love the chemistry, love and understanding between you two, and will continue to monitor the progress and renovation you guys are doing with pleasure!
Look at how happy she is
Congratulations
I’m so happy for you both❣️🎉 it is a gorgeous property! With Cecelia’s vision, lots of patience and trying to keep balance in life, it will become the home of your dreams. Then not only will it be gorgeous, but full of your personal dedication, hard work, and lots of love to become your “HOME”!! I can’t think of a more fitting place to spend this next chapter while in France.
P.S. You’re acceptance, appreciation, amazement and love for your wife makes my heart sing❣️ women around the world will be so grateful to you as a man to show men how to appreciate a woman. I hope to be grateful to have a man feel that way about me soon.
Hoy, de casualidad, coincidí con su canal y no solo con eso, sino con su forma de pensar! Maravilloso! Les mando un saludo desde Punta del Este, Uruguay!
Cecilia, I may not be a Cancer (Capricorn here, might be even worse, LOL) but I’m with you all the way! And I would not keep those laundry baskets either. That whacked-out shape would give me the jitters every time I saw it and haunt me when out of view just knowing it was in my home. LOLLL!
Your new home looks amazing! I hope that you both get to enjoy many many happy relaxing years there. Cecelia, I wonder if you could use wet paper and really jam it in there to create the round shape in those laundry baskets? A bit like when you have to stretch shoes. If you haven't already found a successful method to re-shape them, it might be worth a go. Good luck
Gosh I'm so happy for you both that you have found your dream home in France and are having so much fun settling in! Congratulations! I have been watching your journey from NZ from the start and am greatly inspired! I love your videos and style, as well as Nathan's. So if Cecilia is a Cancer, then Josh must be a . . . . . Capricorn, Scorpio, Libra, Gemini? ; -)
Beautiful house!. Regarding the laundry basket, you just need to use it, after a month you'll see it will get the shape you want 😅
Love this! We just toured across France / part of Switzerland with a band I manage and really fell in love with the country. Here's a vlog I made about our travels for anyone interested in seeing the French music side of things! https://youtu.be/Yt9jGapsIr0?si=dVMwLEjyi8kjVs4c
Finally got a chance to see this great video of your new home. Congratulations it is so so beautiful, so right.
We just sold our house and studio here in Ohio last week and are living in a motel while we wait for visas. We had a massive flood from a tornado the night before the movers were set to load our container. Most everything was wrapped and we lost about 1/3 of our belongings which we had already culled down to the best of the best. We are artists as well and lost most of our artwork. Oh well. WE are headed to Brittany, in a few weeks Hope we are as lucky in finding a home as you; that being said watching your last year of videos it would be very hard to say it was at all easy for you. You are both such an inspiration for us.
Hope we get to meet some day. Thank you Cecilia and Josh.
Congratulations on your new home! I've been following your journey since the big move. So happy you guys finally found a home.
Laundry basket… Is the material something that can get wet and dry in the sun. If so, could you perhaps put a round "storage bin" wet it, put the round "storage shaper bin" inside and let it dry in the sun? Amazon france lists this: Rubbermaid Commercial Products FG572724CLR 17L Round Storage Box, Clear. Something like that could reshape it perhaps.
I love you guys so much!!! Very happy for you, the house is a beautiful home, beautiful essence and soul
and Cecilia remind me of me..i am french et notre enthousiasme est contagieux! Vous êtes des gens d'exception!
Blimey! You certainly had a few bucks to splash out on this house in France. 😮🎉
Can’t wait to see until it’s all done up.
…but what is your sign? 😅
It would be fun to see Cecilia's video on things, although she is so hand's on I can't imagine her wanting to take time off to film her angle of things lol. You neglected to mention your star sign! I get that you are coming from an expensive real estate market from your previous property (I am from Seattle) but it seems like the costs would be astronomical in your renovation plans! How are you able to do all this? Any tips in the finance area, especially for those in their 50's looking to do something similar in the near future…
At first i thought this channel was about deep sea monsters
It's going to be so much waste, I love it when people appreciate the planet they live on. This home was already beautiful.
Gorgeous house. Congratulations.
Just today I found your channel and watched at least 10 videos. Congratulations! For having a courage to make such a big change. I guess it was something in the stars so many of us made the move. Sometimes even distance is not so important, also with a move just few km away life changes completely. We were all guided to a place that fits our souls more. I enjoy watching your content and I am looking forward to see the progress. Hugs to all!
Fun video guys! Lovely home 🏡
Although I thought the tiles on the stairs were nice 🤔😆.
That fancy window is so gorgeous! And Cecilia as always looks cute in her PJs 😍.
Re astrology – I'd love to see both of your natal charts), Josh I bet has Saturn Mercury aspect or Mercury in Capricorn, Cecilia has some Uranus influence on her Venus and /or Moon maybe? 😋
Stunning property! What a glorious place to call home! Congratulations! 🎉
Home is a dream! The most likable and natural on camera is C! She makes the content exciting and relatable. A pleasure to watch her!
I love the end of this video
Felicidades en la hermosa casa! Les deseo muchos nuevos recuerdos en ella y suerte con la renovación. Un consejo muy argentino para darle forma a los canastos: usen alambre jajaja es la respuesta a casi todo😂 Abrazo!💕
oh god, your going to ruin A lovely french modernised house with cheap crap, what A shame , no style or taste,
Sweet little girl 🐶 Butter is so happy to be in her new home, too! I'm so happy for you all! And as a fellow artist, I cannot wait to see Cecilia's ideas come to life! Love your filmography so much, Josh! Congrats again! 💜
France is awful. How can you stand french people goes beyond my comprehension.
This is such a beautiful story, family, and overall storytelling. Cecilia is AMAZING! How does she do it? Such an exquisite decorative eye and designer!
