To show you how to make the most of your Shinkansen tickets, I will be traveling between Tokyo and Hiroshima. I will also stop in Kyoto and Osaka. After watching this video, you will be more familiar with Shinkansen tickets.
There is an important rule that I didn’t explain in the video.
*No stopovers are allowed on a basic fare ticket up to 100 km

Excellent advice. I usually just go with the Rail Pass. But I'd really like to be able to stop for longer at some places. I'm going to make use of this in the future.
@17:16 I think you mean rice flour dumpling, STJ-san. And if you say dango I think 99% of your "regulars" would get a better picture, imo 😉
I still don't fully grasp the underlying structure of the fare system, with the 2 tickets and all that. I think I'm going to need to take an intensive course 😄
At look so yummy 🤤
She is absolutely gorgeous
JR Passの方がお得なような、、、
when i was in japan, i only took reserved seat and stick to it. i easily got lost and afraid i might took a wrong train. this video really helps a lot. i plan to travel to japan again someday (hopefully soon) and it's good to know how to use the non-reserved tickets. thank you for making this video. it's not easy to take a day trip like this.
I didn't realize they jacked up the price on JR Pass, end of an era. That's a bummer. Great video.

After watching so many of your videos, I’m finally visiting Japan, so actually recognise where you are. Indeed I was in Osaka on the same day, and the station is so hard to navigate!!
I got lost. Made it back. TX for video.
Hi there from England, thank you for your vlogs. Will you be doing a food tour of the new food court at Haneda Airport. It always warms my heart to see you eat as you remind me so much of my sons 💓 ♥️ 👋👵🏴
Goodness, those machines make it look a very complicated procedure.
I hate those 'journey planner' type things where you have to fill in box after box after box, and they always assume that you want to go right now so you have to select the date and then select a time and … If you just want to find out how often they go, how long it takes, and how much it costs, it's all a tremendous amount of faff
4:45I like how the printing on the ticket 🎟 makes 'Fare ticket' look like 'Fake ticket'
hope japan can make a sepcial price for who want to fell it cause they cost is expensive if convert to ringgit my country it can be more that rm 600 and rm 2190 its same like mlaysia salary hahhah so expensive
Why do Shinkansen have such tiny windows like aircraft? Was it thought originally that larger windows, from which you could get a decent view, weren't safe at high speeds? In fact the whole onboard environment, with seats in 2+3 layout all facing the same way, seems designed to be as much like an aircraft as possible
but if i calculate it convert to usd,the usd is more expensive that yen and ringgit malaysia so its a bit sick
Are the train tickets also increasing from October 2023?
Thank you! This is helpful!
Great trip and yeah great explanation about Shinkansen ticketing system. Bit complicated since you need to bring at least two or three paper tickets, but after that it's helpful. Next, I'm curious about Discounted Shinkansen ticket which i have watched on another video from another channel, there's ticket vending machine selling discounted Shinkansen ticket, is that legal?
How do you not have diabetes?! 🙂
So love your adventures! I may never be able to travel to Japan (my dream) but I feel happy I can see it through you! Thank you so much!❤
Every time I watch your videos I have to go eat at my favorite Asian restaurant! Nothing is as good to me as Asian food!❤ Beautiful and delicious!!
