  1. Hi, hope you enjoy the trip.
We went around Europe in summer. I booked motorhome with stated length, with no bike rack. When I rang ( like you) to give passport details I asked how much extra for bike rack. The lady said that we had already paid for long vehicle and there was no need to pay extra for bike rack. No one measured us when we went and no-one asked about bike rack. You could ring and ask them or just use your rack.
By the way, we used the net that you suggested, it was great.
    Mike

  2. Hello Bob, Jenny and Poppy. I am so excited for your trip and can’t wait to armchair travel with you all. I assume Tara will be remaining at home. I have my German passport for Wesley and Jezebel and of course for myself. Great video with loads of useful information. Happy travels on Wednesday and be safe and well. Wesley and Jezebel say a big hello to Poppy. Bon voyage. ☮️🌈🚐🥂🌞

  3. I've used the vet in Ypres last month that you used on your previous trip. Very quick an efficient. They know how to correctly complete the return section of the AHC, they charged € 52 for the worming tablet.

  4. Wow! Extremely comprehensive- thank you for sharing! 👏 But I won’t need any of that information!🤣😢 I will need my sofa 🛋️and a few cups of tea 🫖 😀 Safe journey and Gute Reise!

  5. That was really useful Bob and Jenny. We have just got back from a European trip in the car and we’re back in Europe next year in the new Motorhome.
So a lot more to think about for us.
We also realised that we broke the law in Luxembourg by using a dash cam 🤦🏻‍♂️
We will revisit this again in the Spring. Have a great trip with Trev and Sue. 👍👍

  6. Love Jenny's comprehensive plan! Everything covered! Wish mine was as comprehensive! Definately some learnings there! Have an awesome time! We are still in Ireland, and yes dogs are allowed on the bus at the Giant's causeway! Benny hitched a ride with the folks, mum had £1 ready for his fare apparently, but the driver let him on for free! (He was too tired) walking down! 😂 Susie and Pepsi made it there and back, including having to pose for photo's for some tourist's from USA, on x3 different occassions!❤

  7. Worth double checking travel insurance covers when your on bike …..mine didn’t when I had accident in Greece, lucky I got on well with the local doc lol

  8. Took all of that onboard just in case we ever do go on a similar tour, your both very thorough which must help to deflect any potential problems ,Have a smashing time , Tracy & Steve

  9. Hi Bob I think you said you got led headlights if so you don't need beam deflectors as they give out a flater pattern and don't kick up I have never used them on my car which has led lights manufacturers said it was OK might be worth asking as they are a pain to fit and great info on your upcoming trip

  10. Hello Bob – have you tried driving with your Angles Morts magnetic signs on your van? Many of the reviewers on Amazon do not rate them.

  11. Well done bob and Jenny a really comprehensive guide we have done France in my car and it was an eye opener what you had to have done and take with you but a lot was common sense
I have a Garmin dashcam in my car and I had to turn off speed alerts and driver assist but it could stay on without those
I agree re the euro lites it’s nearly as bad for the Volkswagen t roc as well and after a fortnight they lifted up off the lights with heat
We had to have a crit air certificate for our car as we were going near Paris but was easy to apply for and I actually enjoyed our French tour and would like to do it again looking forward to your tour with sue and Trev all the best to you all for safe travels Daniel

  12. Very comprehensive as always. Razor sharp project management. Thanks for an enjoyable run through! Looking forward to the future vlogs.

  13. Hi Guys, It made us smile when Poshcats showed your folder on their channel and again last night on yours. We are off to do the NC500 on Wednesday, we have 2 sides of A5 notepad as our plan and the I booked the first night yesterday. Safe travels and have a brilliant trip, looking forward to the videos.

  14. Hi Bob & Jenny, Just returned from Motorhome trip to France after a absence of five years. Speeds vary so much on the road down as low as 30 kmph (19mph) in towns & villages and hundreds of speed bumps that you will need to approach at a virtual stop because of the severity of the incline. Also do you have a vpn for your internet found it very useful. You will also need a credit card or currency card to pay tolls as I saw no cash only booths especially on the motorway. Just for, a game look how many vehicles have crit air stickers or angles mort on their vehicles. You will be surprised by the low count. Have a good time.

  15. Be careful about the HiVis jackets, the French rules actually state there should be one jacket per seat fitted with seat belts. Not the number of passengers. So in our van we only have seat belts on the front two seats, so we only need two HiVis jackets. But earlier in the year I went to France in our car which has five seat belts fitted so I had to take five HiVis jackets. The other part of the rule states at least one must be within reach of the driver.
One other thing, speed camera warning devices are illegal in France. So if you have one, turn it off.

  16. You probably already know about this (or you’ve already seen it) if you’re at Ypres a must go and see is the ceremony at the Menin Gate. Every night at 8pm the local fire brigade carry out a ceremony to honour the fallen in WW1, its quite an emotional thing. If you go, I bet like I did, you’ll have a lump in your throat. Flowers or a wreath is laid and the bugler plays the last post.

  17. I am from the Netherlands. If your campervan is registered as a normal car ( like ours also over 3,5 ton ) you can drive faster ( if you want) if your campervan is registered as a truc than it’s oké what you said.

  18. Have a great trip! Don't forget when you're driving (and even walking about crossing roads etc) in the Netherlands, you'll need eyes in the back of your head and like a hawk watching out for cyclists. I'm sure that you're aware that cyclists have right of way in the whole of the Netherlands, even over pedestrians. Because they are highly protected many cyclists don't always stick to the rules.

  19. We’ve just come back from Northern Ireland where we got pet passports for our dogs. Northern Ireland has an agreement with the EU which allow them to travel to Europe with a NI pet passport. One of our dogs had a NI passport previously and have traveled to Europe twice with the passport and all good. May be worth getting one if intending to travel to Europe regularly

  20. Sounds like another great tour. We stayed at same site in Ypres last week for our first visit. Unfortunately Menin Gate is undergoing refurbishment so entirely covered in scaffolding but at least tge last post ceremony isn't affected

  21. Dear Bob and Jenny,

Just thought I would send this message to say, your videos are lovely to watch, besides being relaxing they are educational as well.
Could you confirm the link to your online shop please, as we are going to order some items.
Say hello to Poppy for us.
Our dog sends a playful woof.

    Best wishes,
    Helen, Gordon, Gt and Caesar.
