Today’s daily update video from South Africa is on 13 September 2023. In this video, we check out the snow on top of Swaarmoed Pass and Gydo Pass on the 11th of September 2023. This was now the second time in September that snow had fallen in South Africa. Very strong winds around the KZN coast were seen at about 50 km/h winds with sand blowing over the road on Battery Beach in Durban and we visit a few more places.

  1. The plant above Gordonsbay is NOT a hydro-electric scheme! The higher dam for that is elsewhere. What you see, is simply a water purification plant with coagulation dams. I know; that is part of my technical training. I have inspected that plant long ago, when access was still possible. Please be careful not to film national key points, get the facts and learn to keep a camera steady. Please.
