Thailand’s recently appointed prime minister has pledged to impose stricter controls on the medical use of marijuana, following the proliferation of numerous cannabis dispensaries throughout the country. This surge occurred after Thailand made history as the first Asian nation to decriminalize cannabis one year ago.

During an interview with Bloomberg Television’s Haslinda Amin in New York on Wednesday, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced the government’s intent to overhaul its cannabis policy. The primary focus will be on addressing the widespread emergence of dispensaries that openly sell the drug. The government aims to accomplish this reform within a six-month timeframe.

  1. this year was the first time in 4 years i got to get to thailand and I was shocked, how many marujuana shops/cafes there were in bkk, especially sukhumvit road,, and now , they are all going to be put out of business.

  2. Medicinal use is only a Dr prescribed approval which is a small obstacle for those who need it for medical use ie. insomnia, anxiety etc.. The only issue I see is the poor quality to value. In California it was a license from a Dr. when it was required and that was a small inconvenience for those who need it.

  3. Hey scott, enjoyed this one, but wanted to talk to you about the keto plans, perfect timing for me as we talked about but I've been struggling here since getting here, what's the best way to get in touch? maybe run into you again @bankapi

  4. Hi Scot, its been long since i viewed your channel and youtube videos, i was so busy with life and pleased to see you look younger and congratulations on your body transformation .. awesome 👏

  5. Damn…can't believe I missed this one! However, everything comes down to profit. I know very smart individuals and complete dumbasses that use THC. Good stuff Scott as usual. Hopefully I'm on the next one.

  6. Bad news. I visited Bangkok last August just to enjoy the legalisation of cannabis. It was my first visit and I was enjoying it and decided to visit every vacation. With this news I will start looking for a new destination. Bad for tourism.
