To the north-west of The Netherlands lies the small village of Winkel. Every September, it celebrates the start of autumn, and the close of the flower season with a dahlia flower corso.
Last year I took you to the dahlia corso in Vollenhove and we saw some spectacular creations, and this parade promises to be just as special. In this flower corso, around 20 floats will be parked up on the streets, decorated with millions of dahlias and illuminated so they shine in the darkness.. There will also be smaller floats designed and decorated by the local children.
There should be plenty of amazing postcard opportunities too, as I will get you as close as I can to the incredible designs.
Should you wish to show appreciation for all of my hard work, you can give me a tip via trip admit, ‘buy me a coffee’ or send a tip via PayPal.
