  1. hey Russel!

This is the first time I've seen something like this, but because you present it,
    with your cheerful nature.
I really appreciate your reports about Moscow and have enjoyed many hours of your walks.
Next year I'm planning to be in Moscow for 10 days in May.
Thank you for your very informative reports.
    Greetings from Vienna

  2. Im a robotics coach and this sort of stuff excites me as well as all the students who watch Battlebots! Wish I could enter one of these events one day and watch in person!

  3. Interesting to watch – I've never watched anything like this before, even though I work in the Technology & Security Division of a government department. But the "robots" appeared to be more mechanical than computerised.

  4. Professor Russell, no, I’ve never ever seen a Battle Bot! Nurse Jane…I’ll watch to asses how a Registered Nurse might care for a Wounded Bot!…any ideas? NJ from USA, Deale, Maryland! Thanks Professor!

  5. Professor, about twenty (20) years ago, I brought my son to watch Japanese Robots! Then when he was in Middle School, he made a fantastic Catapult! Then when he was in High School, it was a Rocket! Then in University, I cried and lit candles! He flew solo over the Chesapeake Bay… That was about four (4) years ago! I’m still praying! Thank you Professor! God Bless you! NJ

  6. Nice video, great that they're still continuing robot combat with all the nonsense going on.

Looks like they're about on the level of US/UK bots being built like 5 years ago, which is a definite step up from what you'd see 5 years ago with bots that looked like they were 20 years old. I see a lot of NPC (clone?) brushed DC motors and a lot of welded steel frames although there's 12:22 and 16:58 that looks to be using fully machined aluminium frame parts. There were some Russian teams that appeared on shows like Battlebots (us) and King of Bots (china) and they been doing reasonably well, so all the kudos to the engineers behind the bots that make it happen.

Very interesting and thanks for sharing!
