  1. Questions – the tall (relatively) mast with dishes on it, is that for Internet/phone or airport or something else? When you and Yvonne are sitting on the bench, are you looking over to Mull or what is the mass across the water from you there? When you drive from your home to the first shop, Buth Bhaile, how long does that take? Thanks a bunch for taking us shopping with you. I wonder how many people realise about one-track roads and passing places – and how courteous drivers spot someone approaching and like you will pull into the passing place and wait so that the person in the car approaching can continue without stopping. Also if you are curious what it is like to live in a very remote place where owner of only store has huge effort with danger just to regularly stock the store, look for the video about Bolivia, On Top of the World – now that store owner really has her work just to keep her store stocked!

  2. Thank you for the "feel-good" videos from Tiree. Your life on the island may not always be as easy as you imagined, but it seems so fulfilling. I envy you big time.
At one point in time I really tried to do what you have done, but my hubby was not on the same page while I had a chance to do it. Now I have no hubby, but I am 81 years old and have children and grandchildren, so it is somehow still not an option. Sometimes I regret that I didn't choose the life I coveted instead of choosing the hubby, when I had to make a choice. It could have worked if I had changed to a more adventurous hubby first, and then started the new way of life…
Videos like yours are a comfort to watch. Thank you again for your effort.

  3. Great video. Stunning location. Would love that life, may be hard at times especially on island but think the pros outweigh the cons, looks very calm, clean tidy and no mad rush anywhere.

  4. We're on holiday in Pembrokeshire atm and i always feel my most happiest, calmest and grounded when I'm barefoot on the sand or in the presence of the sea, as a landlocked Midlander it feels like coming home! I always love seeing the beach in your videos, i never tire of the beauty of the coast. Does anyone harvest/ eat the seaweed? In Wales the Laverbread is delicious, i wonder does Scotland have its version?

  5. Terrific video!
    Gorgeous views.

I enjoyed you showing us where you do your food shopping.
How about Dr’s and dentists are they available on the island?

Can’t wait for the next one 🙂

  6. Had a couple of holiday visits to hebridean islands and I'm aways struck by the thin strip of green land, the sea then a huge sky. It draws you, wide open, clear a tonic for the eyes and mind. I was wondering what the night sky is like, do you still have stars there, we seem to have lost them on the mainland.

  7. Love your channel, Jason and Yvonne! Thanks for posting another lovely and heart-warming video. If I could subscribe twice I would! 😂 Am so sure you'll get to 5,000 subs quickly 🙂. Have a lovely day! (From rainy England)

  8. Hi, I'm in London. A simple question, is The Eyrie, Kenovay, Isle Of Tiree, Argyllshire, PA77 6UU a nice house? I am ready for a new life. I would miss a good library and maybe one or two things but London is not the same. Lucky I don't have to work no more and my Dad was Scottish. Take care up there.

  9. I really enjoy peeking over your shoulders while you go about the business of living.

The absence of bullshit is refreshing – none of the usual “Hey look at me while I pretend to chop firewood ! (another pair who promote their channel of “remote Scottish island living” and seem to be complete posers…but I digress)

We left NYC for rural northwestern Ireland several years ago – so I know some of the challenges you guys have faced in your journey.

What I need to know is – HOW can I buy my husband one of your excellent hats?
