      Fantastic, on point, very informative! I am traveling to Japan this November, and this video helped me a lot! I watched your videos in the past before, but this one has even more details. I will be landing to Narita Airport in the afternoon, so hopefully going through custom will be quick and easy. I have travel anxiety, but your video definitely helps! Thanks!

      I had been to Tokyo quite a few times, but this will be the first time after Covid lockdown lifted so this clip is gold! Already flying this Friday and will be arriving at NRT on Saturday morning. Hope there's no typhoon coming in during the next week as I'm going to hike in Kamikochi!

      Amazing and very informative video Kengo san. I usually take the tyo nrt bus, but in your past videos i was able to learn the access express 👍 my first hour in narita was spent on the 2nd Floor Gundam store 😎 oh we also have those Hello Kitty Pasmo ❤

      hola…una consulta…se podria enviar maletas desde kyoto a tokyo pero por ejemplo enviaria las maletas y estaria una semana recorriendo
      otras ciudades de japon y llegaria 7 dias despues de enviarlas a mi hotel en tokyo….?..gracias!

      So uh.. I got a question here. Suica card still exist until next march 2024 right? What do you think should I get? I am a first timer to japan and was going to plan the finance on tight budget. Maybe enjoy tokyo then kyoto then go back to tokyo again to go home.

      Question is .. Should I purchase JR pass or just go with Suica / Passmo? Considering I plan to tour around Tokyo for 1 week and 1 week in kyoto.

      For the custom clearance, you might be able to shortcut lines if you fill the VisitJapan Web (Might be the same depends on the airport and time of arrival). https://vjw-lp.digital.go.jp/en/ 🚩Please note that Japanese government is warning that there is a fake app. of Visit Japan Web that ask your credit card information. There is no app for VisitJapanWeb.

      Yes, the VisitJapan Web page for QR codes were a blessing, streamlining the entrance into Japan so smoothly! 

      When I landed at Haneda late at night, I had already decided to stay at the Villa Fontaine Grand Airport Hotel overnight, rather than try to catch the last monorail into Tokyo. Added bonus; use of the open air Onsen the next morning! Everything was so relaxed this way! Including the eSIM, & the ATM machines!

      I used a Portable WiFi router when I was in Japan. It worked fine. Just that having to keep another thing charged and the worry about posting back on last day of trip gave me anxiety….Plus having to carry it added weight and took up space when trying to stay light for sightseeing. Also the return envelope was a problem to carry around on my trip.(large).It got soaked during a rain storm and became almost unusable.(had me panicing abit)…So thinking a data sim would be better(solo traveller). No need for extra charging or carrying extra battery packs or large envelopes or having to return it on last day..BUT!..Not sure how much data I would need!..I only need it for navigation (most of the day everyday for 3 weeks) and a little youtube viewing in the evenings (no social media as I have no friends to be social with)….So I have no idea what to get and where…If I get to little and then run out when I need it most for get me panicing.

      What areas of Tokyo or nearby that you recommend for quiet and less crowed near train station. We are not too crazy about busy city areas but will check them out.

      We will fly in Narita Airport later in December, and look to say either at a hotel or airbnb. Will stay from Dec 23-30, so less than a week.

      Like to visit Kyoto, Osaka, Nikko, Mt. Fuji and will buy JR Pass.

      Hi there, my flight will reach tokyo HND around 0630. Does it mean i cannot take the train?
      I will be heading towards Sumida area.
      Also, we can't buy IC card anymore from the airport?

      I just spent 3 weeks in Japan. In order of need – download eSim (ie Sakura) to your phone using the airport free wifi. This will allow you to use Google Maps everywhere. Get lots of data as you will need it to navigate. Hit up an ATM at 7-11 in the airport (btw this is usually the best option anywhere in Japan) them would go down to the train station and get a suica or pasmo from one of the machines. If you can’t find – don’t stress – just figure out what line/train is needed to get you into Tokyo and buy a ticket w cash.
      You can purchase suica or pasmo from major train station machines still – just need to register your name in the machine – no need for a tourist Suica (that are only sold at JR tourist ticket counters).
      This will get you close to your hotel where you can then plan the next stages.
      As mentioned- JR Japan pass is great but rising significantly in price fall 2023. Only worth it if you plan to visit many cities across Japan in a short period of time. There are slower and cheaper trains and buses if time is not a factor.

I heard it is cheaper from Klook. Is there any other difference? If I purchase by klook, can I still reserve seats? Thanks alot.

      @tokyokenchan I will be taking a Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo and have a hotel booked at T3 Haneda airport. What is your recommendation to make it to my hotel as I travel on Saturday? First time visitor and I don't speak Japanese. Thank you for your advice please.

      What would you have a as checklist before arriving Japan I.e documentation that can be filled online for the customs officer.
