  1. Recorded today, live on Youtube! It was such a race against time on this one. Massive thanks to Gable on this one!
Enjoy the video… and welcome to the 21st century Florida ✌🏻

  2. OMG! I am impressed everything works as its supposed to. Amtrak continues to have issues with thier Sieman Charger locomotives and Venture cars – 5 years after ordering them. And, it took Amtrak 30 years to upgrade the Michigan line from 79 to 110mph. Brightline did the whole thing in just a few years! Maybe there is hope for the future of passenger rail after all. Great video!!

  3. Brightline is run or was run by Virgin Trains who operated on the West Coast Main Line and East Coast Main Line which Avanti West Coast & LNER now operates on.

  4. Looks interesting but they ban Swiss Army Knives and multitools which makes them worthless to me. Odd on a train and frankly incredibly paranoid.

  5. What was that repetitive percussive noise. Did your coach have a flat-spotted wheel ? Also; Maybe it was the way it was recorded, but the train seemed very noisy when compared to its European counterparts.

  6. Love the concept and the trains. If my maths are correct, an average speed of 65 mph which is hardly high speed. I plugged the destinations into Google and driving was marginally faster. A real shame

  7. What is the compartment that has yellow metal bars that are zigzag? That's reality, not crazy!

I like that there are eye catching colors on the train and the panoramic view windows!

    I like Miami's elevated station.

  8. At the Cocoa highspeed segment (11:00) it seemed that your coach had a flat wheel or something! The rattling sounded very unpleasant and would simply be unacceptable in Europe (especially at such low speed of only 125 mph (ie 200 km/h). If an Austrian Railjet would make such a sound at 200 km/h, I would rather be worried! Dunno if this was the coach or the track – in any event rather disappointing! (But the problem seemed to be limited to one Coach only, because the other coaches seemed to run as smooth as expected.) But that they run their inaugural train with a train set with flat wheels seems somewhat worrisome as far as proper maintenance is concerned!

  9. If only we had something like that in Australia! Our major cities are so far apart that flying in really the only practical alternative as the rail links are very slow, if also very cheap. My one worry is that if Brightline takes pax from the airlines they will start a price war. It might not turn out well.

  10. This was really cool to watch. I cant believe how quiet that train is on the inside. I live in Vero Beach and watched the tracks being built and now see the trains passing through. Its a shame that they did not put a stop in the area as I would really love to use this. I love taking Amtrak when I can and I really hope that this succeeds and does well.

  11. Sooner than Later. A disaster movie will be made. Yes it's the future. Coming soon. Reality folks. A 125mph train racing thru urban areas of southern Florida, lunatic, non English speaking driver's , half illegal. BAM. Heard to Tallahassee. Trillion dollar lawsuit. Follows. When train full of tourists smashes into crazed , cocaine high driver crosses in front of Bright line . Not one square inch of train or 200 passengers ever seen again. Coming to movie screen near you.

  12. Totally shock if Travelling by car is 4hours vs 3.5 hours for "high speed train " .Yes u may argue it avoid traffic , what is the # of runs & stops & cost ? This sounds like a special train close to the already existing train in Boston 100+ mph train !

  13. What a great video and railway experience. Wow! They thought of everything! Aesthetics that match the look and feel of Florida , a place to make calls, healthy food . . .my favorite was how they have the Thomas the Tank Engine play stations for kids! What a great idea! Growing the next generation of train lovers. 🙂

  14. Do other trains run on the Brightline tracks? If so, this is not a world-class passenger rail system. I’ve been to Japan, where nothing but shinkansen run on shinkansen tracks. Are there grade crossings? Same sign.

  15. Thanks for a very interesting and informative video. The only thing I wish you had talked about a bit more (unless I missed it) was the tracks and the speeds: whose tracks are they, why do they travel at the speeds they do, etc.

  16. The next big thing they need os public transit to and from the Miami airport. It handles more international flights and tourists from Europe will want the ability to not rent cars

  17. 69 MPH average speed is not world class. This coupled with high costs and negligible time savings vs car ride honestly makes this a horrible example of what true high speed rail can accomplish for Americans. I hope the rest of the country won't use Florida as a benchmark – it's a bar too low to clear especially compared to the rest of the world.
