European Motorbike Tour 2014 – Day 13 (of 16) Inc T-storm at end!
Day 13 (of 16)
Leaving Andorra, and flirting over to Magnac-Bourg in France. Missed one bad-ass T-storm and torrential rain by the skin of our teeth at the end. Check it out!
I test rode the z1000SX seats a killer and the handlebars made my little fingers numb after 45 minutes i was gutted fabulous looking bike perfect for touring.
Got caught in rain like that up near Skye last month. … got to Portree and it started raining, it never stopped until we got back to Fort William. .. not nice..
We stayed at the same campsite this summer in June. When did you visit Andorra, will have to check out your other videos, been putting up a few of my own trip, check them out. 10 days in total still got to sift through the footage of the last 8days haha!
Hi. Have you thought about using the app. for 'Booking .com.' When we toured Germany we booked the nights ahead without paying, just registering our Mastercard. You pay when you turn up and if you don't make it, you can cancel up to 6pm. Great prices and reviews as well. Getting too long in the tooth for that camping lark, and it free's up the bike for more essential luggage. Great vid of the tour chaps, may well be along for your next trip. Hurry up and fix your tours for 2015.
Lovely videos, very personal and pleasant to watch. It's good to see some of the scenic roads in Europe, in good weather! Next time in Andorra, it might be a good idea to ignore the tunnel to France, instead choose one of the most exhilarating motorcycling roads up to Port d'Envalira, the highest in Pyrenees. Spend your toll money in an atmospheric Cafe' in Pas de la Casa, then "twisty" your way down to France.
What hospitality from the hotel d' etang. I know the Correze / Haute Vienne area quite well, in 2013 did a bike tour & a mini break with the Mrs in the car, also passed through in 2014 to the Lot & Aveyron. Summer 2015 will see us returning to do the parc de Millevaches en Limousin, lucky for us it is just over 2 hours from home.
Funny how I'm thinking of getting the Ninja 1000 shown in video but in black, but don't want to get rid of my 06'VFR just yet… would be stupid to have two great sports tour's it would be like choosing between my son's. I have some time to think about it since it's winter here in the northeast….
Yes Richy, your old girl is a good old girl, it's done over 65,000 miles and took you all over the world, bet you will be sad if you had to let her go for a newer girl

More than likely you will encounter a couple of those type of thunderstorms in the states. Good thing is, you can see them coming.
You know when you enter the French Pyrenees, the roads are terrible compared to the Spanish part.

How come you used the tunnel and didn't go over the pass?
