      mine is on wednesday but there are two parts for wednesday, if u are born before 12 noon on wednesday, then urs is wednesday but if u are born lafter 12 noon, its called YarHu, still the same elephant figure animal but the naming word is different. that's why i am yarhu child. and when you go to your birthdate corner, it's our routine to gently pour water cups, number similar to your age, over the shoulder or head. So if u are 30 y/o, you pour 30 cups, while you would recite some prayers or some wishes.

      Merely experiencing good treatment as a tourist doesn't negate the ongoing issues faced by minority communities. In the past, many Indians residing in Myanmar (previously known as Burma) were massacred and forced to return to India. Presently, Muslims are enduring genocide and brutality at the hands of Buddhist extremists in Myanmar. It's essential not to dismiss this as propaganda. Engaging with the Rohingya Muslims allows one to understand their perspectives on this critical situation. As a Sri Lankan Tamil, I have encountered numerous challenges and witnessed genocide at the hands of individuals identifying as Buddhists. It's disheartening that while they worship Buddha, they often don't adhere to his moral principles.

      Yes all the tourists go to Shwedagon. Ha ha I know that tour guide. Every time work takes visitors to the pagoda I see him. There is 'stuff' happening but not in Yangon. That's how it is. I get tired of people telling me how dangerous it is here who do not live here.
