  1. Contrary to others beliefs filipinos diet are primarily fish and vegetables meat are only consumed during special events.

Commercialism ruined filipinos diet like jolibee which is not filipino by the way it was created by a chinese businessman to compete with mc donalds and repetitive advertisement targeting children.

  2. I like both countries, I like Thailand a little more since it’s cheaper, better food, and in my opinion nicer to Asian foreigners. The visa is a big plus in the Philippines so will pick the Philippines until I turn 50 and then I will have to revisit this debate. I also liked Malaysia, not as much as Thailand and Philippines, but the downside is the bigger financial requirement for a retirement visa.

  3. Great content again. I traveled to Malaysia, Ubud, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines very recently. I’ve been to China over 20 times since 1989. I love Asian culture. It’s interesting and growth provoking. For that reason Thailand, Ubud, Malaysia and Cambodia are very attractive to me. I. found attractive English speaking women everywhere. Malaysia would be one of the easier places to expatriate. Very modern infrastructure, for me the cost of living was lower than Philippines. KL, Penang are great choices. I like the cultural mix in Malaysia. Thailand is amazing to be sure. I agree it’s less expensive than the Phillipines and the food is amazing. Malaysian food options are par with Thailand. Filipino people are very friendly. Filipino food is fine because I like grilled fish and vegetables which are available locally. I’ve been warned by US Filipino long time friends. They express caution. Things aren’t what they seem is what they said. I’m sure this is present in all countries but in a country where friendliness is readily available, it’s good to be conscious of what else may be operating. I liked Vietnam very much. The food is amazing and the people are welcoming and industrious. Beautiful nature as well. Great content video.

  4. I’ve lived in the Philippines for eighteen years, I love living in the Philippines but visit Thailand 2-3 times a year it’s cheaper and better quality in Thailand , better infrastructure, better food , cheaper rentals and cheaper food. For the Philippines nicer people warmer and kind .

  5. Prostitution under sex industry wise, in Thailand – "legal" and major driver of country's income, little Europe wannabe and pro-China; Philippines – sex industry illegal but thriving: prefers USA harbors deep-seated distrust towards mainland

  6. In my opinion Except English language, Thailand cannot be compared to Philippines. Thailand is shinier, cleaner, saftier, modern, infrastructure…. etc. Great video as always 👍😊 Thanks.

  7. Hmmmmm, hard decision….. Personally I'm a bigger fan of the food, cost of living and the beautiful woman in Thailand. Plus the system just works like it's supposed to and how do you argue with that…. But !!!!!! the openness and warmth of the Filipino people along with it's visa requirements makes for a very attractive choice….. Along with the several friends I have that a married to Filipinas and their endless variety of sisters, cousins, friends, co-workers…… I know, I know but what's a man to do..😂

  8. Fact is, Thailand is the Tourism Queen of the region and for very good reasons. The Philippines has a lot to learn from Thailand. Less pride and more research could help Fillipinos have something better than fish balls, fried eggs, and friend flour dipped in vinegar to feed the masses and vloggers who look for street food. Street food alone makes Thailand an elephant and Philippines a rabbit. Millions of Filipinos flock to Thailand and they would often feel superior to locals as they compete for the attention of white men, which the Thai people no longer put on pedestals like they do in Manila. Both countries are nice. But there is a reason why Manila has hundreds of Thai restaurants anc Thai spas, but Bangkok dont even have a Jollibee.

  9. The day may come when I consider retiring in the Philippines, but all I want to do today is take away one of its natural resources and keep her in the USA with me. Please keep us informed.
What is wrong with Filipino food?
Thank you for this information, Rob and admitting that Chrissy has influenced your decision[s], something which is natural in the greater scheme of things.

  10. Gentlemen, why force yourself to choose only one or the other? I intend to pick both, spend a little time here, a little time there and enjoy the adventure…

  11. What food do Phillipines eat ? I never seen Philippine restaurant abroad. But plenty of Thai restaurants. Food is a big part of life, whichever place has good food, they r winner

  12. Never been to Malaysia. May be in a couple of months. Out of the two Thailand would be my choice hands down. 1 Quality and availability of clean food. 2 Much, much cleaner. 3 Women are more attractive (IMHO). Overall, higher standards of living at a lower price tag.

  13. I live in Thailand and I think the Philippines will win because of the English spoken. The Thai government does not really want foreigners living here on a long-term basis.

  14. I wouldn't consider mainland Malaysia anymore due to the ridiculously high financial requirements of their MM2H residence visa program. On the other hand, you and everyone else completely overlook the Borneo half. There the Sarawak MM2H requirement are much more reasonable. The area is roughly the size of Germany yet the biggest city, Kuching, has a population less than 700K. This would be only a midsized city in PH, at best. It still retains all the other characteristics of the mainland: infrastructure, culture, medical, etc. Oh, it is also the energy production center where gasoline is only $1.68/gal.
