  1. I don't know, I think most of this stuff is just so gimmicky. The trains of course are amazing and should be used everywhere, but the robotic everything is so off putting to me. I know loneliness is a huge problem in Japan, I can't help but think its exasperated by all this unnecessary technology. Even just little things like talking to a waiter or cashier help build that confidence to talk to strangers.

  2. Japan might be where ai and robots begin. Money moves west. Right now it’s in California. So it’s plausible that it will come from there in around 2040 right when the so called singularity begins. Fun times.

  3. I tried the website you did an add for in this video. Because I was super excited to see how they integrated AI with travel websites and it sucks. when I did a Hotel Search. It only showed me 2 hotels for the large city that I was searching for. And it displayed the wrong dates and when I change them. It didn't even seem like it was registering that I had changed anything. Even when I gave up on the hotel searching. I want to try some of the other features on it and I couldn't get them to work either.

  4. Drew this is like the seventh video you’ve made on this topic. On top of multiple shorts. I understand that you are interested in this topic and I am too but can’t you post a different video between your big documentaries

  5. Currently in Osaka, I'm struggling to find anything to do besides eat. Ive visted the castle, kyoto nara and hiroshima and done some shopping in Dotonbori and Namba but I feel I haven't been able to enjoy Osaka as much as I would want to.
    Any suggestions?

  6. I've been to Japan and everything he said is true. I've used tons of vending machines even on hiking trails. There were bowling alleys that are like 10 stories tall and sushi and soup have been sent through conveyors. I love Japan but I'm not gonna lie, It's kind of like a Children of Men situation here.

  7. I tried your sponsor. But it couldn't book any plane or busses. Frustrated, I asked about "adult fun", but it said it wouldn't help. Not even around Vegas where it's legal. AI could have been fun and useful. But it's just as fun as my 100 year old Grandma who died several years ago. Did Skynet start like this?

  8. I am Japanese. If you travel around Japan thinking that everything in Japan is futuristic, you will be disappointed because this is not Japan but a small part of Tokyo.
Some stores only accept cash, some are run by an old man alone, some use fax machines.
The "Japan" that many foreigners present to you is only a small part of Tokyo.

  9. As someone who lives in this beautiful nation 🇯🇵, I can confidently say that most of the “technologically advanced” stuff that people talk about is mainly only in Tokyo. I’ve never seen robot waiters, self opening taxi doors, etc. outside of Tokyo. In fact, Japan is behind in some ways as well. Take it’s high usage of fax machines, for example
