If you come back to Brazil come to Belo Horizonte. It is a great city for who loves art and food. There is a super cool museum called Inhotim and historical cities like Ouro Preto near the city. There is great places to eat like Mercado central and mercado novo, and places to visit like the Pampulha lake.
That's it! Brazil surely loses milions of dollars in tourism industry thanks to an unfair version of the reality. I live in Rio, born and raised… Taking care just like in any other big city in the world is enough. And besides, if Rio doesn't seem safe enough (come on! 😑), this is not a fair reason to underrate Brazil as a touristic destination. There are many other fantastic, incredible, beautiful must-see places.
I used to watch a lot of his videos (Swedish gringo) but his videos were very risk behavior forward and over sexualization of Brazilian women, something that Brazilian women suffer a lot because of videos like his.
Avoid Favelas..Tell your gringo friends to not go there and Fetishizise Poverty,i wanna Go To United States but i wont go Visit LA "homeless hoods"…
Whats your top 3 countries guys?
You guys are super positive people. I'm Brazilian, from Sao Paulo, have been to Rio, Salvador, Florianopolis, etc.. In my opinion, all of the cities have beautiful places worth visiting, but some places are ugly, degraded and neglected by public authorities. Luckily, many places are exactly the opposite, and it is in these places that Brazil shines. You have to know where to go. Congrats for the channel. love it.
Brazil 🇧🇷
❤
It's essential to approach discussions about different cultures and communities respectfully. The importance of understanding and sharing the stories of people in Favelas in Brazil, highlighting their daily lives and the hardworking individuals within these communities. It is important to emphasize the need to break stereotypes and present a more nuanced and accurate portrayal.
When engaging with any culture or community, it's crucial to approach it with an open mind, empathy, and a genuine desire to learn. Cultural sensitivity involves recognizing and appreciating the diversity of experiences within a community, acknowledging both the challenges and the positive aspects. By doing so, we can promote a more inclusive and informed dialogue that fosters understanding and mutual respect.
If someone is considering visiting a Favela or any other community, it's essential to do so responsibly. This includes being aware of potential impacts on the community, engaging respectfully with residents, and supporting initiatives that contribute positively to the well-being of the community.
In essence, the idea is that exploring and sharing the stories of diverse communities can be enriching and contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the world if it is done with respect and a genuine interest in the people and their way of life.
I'm glad you say that because i will be visiting next year. I've always wanted to go to Brazil. I love coffee and i heard the food is fantastic.
The bad rep Brazil get comes mostly from brazilians themselves but for lack of knowledge of the world and their own country. In our culture we are very used to just say what is wrong all the time without sugar coating or nationalism and romanticize other coutries. Like you said, most brazilians don't speak another language, similar to USA our country is huge which make it easy to stay in a cultural/information bubble, but unlike USA we do consume a lot of media from other countries, and unlike our media, most countries only will show only the good side of their countries, so most brazilians will believe Brazil is awful and anywhere is better when counldn't be futher from the truth. Also, since most brazilians don't receive a lot of money, love to party and take care of themselves, not to metion how far everything is or how the prices for tourists are expensive for a common brazilian, travelling is a luxury for most people, so not even brazilians will know hoe beautiful the country is or see for themselves how all countries have similar or worse problems.
We even have a name for that, "sindrome de vira-lata" or "mutt sydrome". Mutt because we are so mixed, nice and full of qualities but still think the "pure breeds" are better.
Wow……!!!!!! Thanks for your honesty……. I really think Brazil is one of the most amazing countries in the whole world…..For sure…..it's soooooo huge…….so diverse..
So incredible……it's got amazing landscapes…..cities , a lush nature , the friendliest people , wonderful surprises………you are all invite to come over here and enjoy this amazing country…..!!!!!!
They said everything, like any other big city in the world you should be careful about certain regions, that can be not the safest place and have street smarts, specially in Rio.
As a brazilian, most people are trully friendly, but do not trust every single person that aproach you, some may try to take advantage of your touristing and try to make extra money.
If you do pay attention to these small details you probably have an amazing time here
Nice!🎉
Iguazu Falls next time…. you missed it , but and i know you.ll come back a ha
First of your videos I've see. Lovely and well-spoken couple and a very good tourist overview. I'm convinced! 😉
Good to know! thanks for the visit!
Exactly, every time we see the sun set we applaud the spectacle. It's not something I would call cultural. But natural. We have many reserved places in every city to gather tô watch the sunset. One better than the other.
Come back always!!!!
Ela me lembra a Marina Ruy Barbosa.
I'm very happy that you liked it. I would really like you to visit other places in Brazil. There is so much to see, you haven't even seen 5% of the incredible things. I'll be here hoping and praying that you come back again.
