The Tokyo Torch Tower(390m high) is now under construction and scheduled for completion in early 2028.. The high rise building(38F, 212m high) just across the street in front of the Nihonbashi side entrance of Tokyo station is called "The Tokiwadai tower" completed in Jun 2021.

The Bank of Japan head office and the Mitsukoshi department store in Nihonbashi were built in 1896 and 1936 respectively.
