One of the Magnificent Seven, and now a designated nature reserve, Tower Hamlets Cemetery rests in the East End of London. The burial place of Jack the Ripper’s first victim, the Cemetery is also the final resting place of some of Victorian London’s biggest names, as well as it’s poorest citizens.Β
Come with Sinead on this Halloween adventure to explore London’s most beautiful cemetery. Learn the story of the body snatchers (or resurrectionΒ men), find out what happened when London was filled beyond capacity not just with the living but also with the dead, and visit the graves of those lost in the Bethnal Green Tube Disaster. This East End London Cemetery is filled with stories as well as beautiful views so join Free Tours by Foot as we visit Tower Hamlets Cemetery.

This was great Sinead. Thank you as always x
Thank you Sinead for another wonderful tour.
Thank you, love the cemtery tours, not sure what that says about me but I do enjoy them. π
My grandad was a grave digger there.
Fantastic ππ» well done Sinead ππ»ππ»β€οΈ
Yesss the Halloween vids begin π Ab fab Sinead β€
Thanks for bringing us another great video and for all the history you give us, I really enjoy and learn a lotπ
Thank you sinead for another excellent video sending lots of love from Dublin β€
Beautiful cemetery SinΓ©ad lovely to see you and that I was born on Halloween the only thing I don't like is that I'll be another year older π πβ¨π»βοΈ
No offense intended but the photo is not Mary Ann βPollyβ Nicholas. The only authenticated photo of a Whitechapel murder victim in life is that of Annie Chapman. Your tours are fantastic. Always interesting and informative. Thank you.
Is this one at southern grove Mile End ?
As always I loved it and now am seeking out either tours I missed or tours I wish to watch again. Only Sinead could give us a jump scare in a cemetery tour.
Missed u. Enjoy your tours the most.
Another good tour Sinead.
very similar to arnos court bristol .. btw – dogs should be on leads..he ran like he'd seen a ghost lol
Cemeterys are one of my favourite places to see ,so much history.
Every headstone represents a birth, life and a death, think of all the lost backstories and family histories. Sinead, not to sound weird but the Tower Hamlets Cemtery is so peaceful and beautiful. I really appreciate the respect you show whenever you're in a Church or Cemetery. A while my family and I went to Forest Lawn Cemtery in Glendale to visit the grave site of Walt Disney and Clayton Moore — "The Lone Ranger." Take care….

I really enjoy your videos Sinead. So relaxing and enjoyable to listen to. Iβm glad you did this cemetery as the others get so much more publicity and I havenβt seen this one.
When the distortion occurred, I immediately thought that it was spirit affecting the sound. Its to be expected in a cemetery. Thanks for another great video Sinead xx
funny, this was next on my cemetary visits. i'd not seen any pictures of the cemetery, so thanks for that! I'm looking forward to visiting it even more, now. and also more convinced I'm going to get lost in this place lol.
it reminds me a lot of Highgate, with it's wild, overgrown look.
Your hair looks fabulous, Sinead! I can't wait to see what town you take us to outside of London!
This is a very interesting cemetery and has many graves and a lot of background info. Good job Sinead.
Beautiful cemetery love the trees and the grave monuments, I've been to Highgate, kensal Green and brompton cemetery all have a unique touch
I walk my dog in this cemetery and I love it.. it is so beautiful. I am sorry to correct you Sinead but the barnardos memorial is actually the bird statue a little bit past the Westwood memorial on the right hand side, it was only erected about 7 years ago . There is an inscription on it dedicated to the Barnardo children.
Rees Ralph Llewelyn is buried there but a lesser known fact is that Charles Letchmere (the man who found Polly Nichols) is also buried there!
This is going to sound strange, but I love the Cemetery videos. When it's a nice day I will take an afternoon walk at our local Cemetery where my brother in-love (my husband's younger brother) is buried, I'll have my earbuds in and the first song that I hear is one that he and I both loved by Def Leppard it will ALWAYS comes on . No matter what time of day I go walking. So yeah, someone was trying to get your attention.
I really enjoyed the foot tour of the cemetery. Your presentation was very informative and interesting! Thanks for giving us a chance to see this wonderful piece of English history! π
Happy π Halloween π π€ͺ Sinead!! From The USA πΊπΈ
