Let’s go for a walk on Mureunggyo Bridge, a stilt-free suspension bridge with a total length of 210 meters, a width of 1.8 meters, and a height of about 38 meters at its highest peak.
Mureung Bridge is a bridge installed in Mureung Valley in Donguibogam Village, located in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, where the 2023 Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo was held. This bridge is a towerless suspension bridge with a length of 210 meters, a width of 1.8 meters, and a height of about 38 meters at its peak, and is connected by eight cables with a diameter of 40 millimeters specially plated with zinc and aluminum. It has a grade 1 seismic design and is safe even in strong winds of 30 meters per second, and is designed so that 1,570 adults (based on 70 kg) can pass by at the same time.
We’ll walk across the bridge, which at times can sway from the winds, and experience amazing aerial views. You may feel a little vertigo on this walk. Do you dare to join me?
