Trash On Durban’s Beachfront

Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 19 October 2023, we start today’s video on Durban’s beachfront, showing all the trash that washed onto the shoreline after heavy rains. We also show you St. Francis Bay, where the damage is still visible after the rough seas. And the beautiful Table Mountain on a windy day at Tableview the Western Cape Province of South Africa. We will also show you a dam on a farm made deeper to try and catch more rainwater around a dry Thabazimbi and show more videos from around South Africa.

The South African Weather Service has issued impact-based warnings. It is a Level 2 yellow. Forecasters say strong winds will hit the central interior and southeast of the Northern Cape, making driving hard on most roads and blowing around loose debris. This could lead to fire danger warnings.
Over the Pofadder Municipality in the Northern Cape and the Beaufort West Municipality in the Western Cape, the fire risk is likely to be very high.
Heavy rain is expected from a strong low-pressure system. When combined with the high water table in the Eastern Cape, this can cause pools and floods all over the eastern half.
