Space Mountain has been closed for about a month. As long a refurb as we’ve seen there for quite a while. What were they up to!? What was with all that scrim and scaffold around the exterior? Did the ride change at all? Did they fix the blue lights?

Placing a roller coaster completely in the dark was another great idea by Disney. Such a great ride.
I like the fact it's almost pitch black the way it was when it first opened because you couldn't see the track so it was like if you were blindfolded. Not knowing what was coming was the most unique aspect of the ride back then.
I saw a video years ago when they they had a lot more light and you could see the track. That ruined the ride. Im glad they are not doing that anymore.
Great video. Iβm happy to have it back, but Iβm anxious to get those lights back.
Fresh Baked!
Oh gosh. I see me at the front of this rope drop. We came from Australia and I added an extra Disney day on just for the space mountain re opening. I donβt believe I missed you standing behind!
So they did nothing different πππππ
I'll never go there again…
Won't take grand kids to part 2 of Epsteins Island. Now Snow White has a full mustache….
One of my favorite rides. π
Anyone notice its running much more smoothly
You know what I miss? The comet or meteor (glowed red) at the top before you go down the first drop, I always wondered why they never fix that effect. You can still see it to the left but itβs just off. (Not sure about now after refurb if itβs still there) Does anyone else remember that? I think I only saw it on once in person a long time ago.
I wish there was no music!!!!
Adding music has ruined this coaster. It was far more frightening to hear other people scream elsewhere in the darkness, you didn't know why, you only knew it that you were next.
Until they bring back the original entrance way instead of that long side path it will feel off
Awesome ride. Went on it 20 times in a row, have not Ben back to the 2ND most expensive theme park in the world for nearly 25 yrs and have absolutely NO Plans.
I still miss that escalatorfrom back in the day.
The blue tunnel lights still not working after a month refurb is par for the course lame modern Disney.
maybe return the space mountain queue ship to the OG with the pilot visible sitting in front? I LOVED that as a kid
Did they change the ride at all? Was there on Tuesday n the ride seemed more jerky and twisty than before. It's been a few years since I rode it but I am a few years older. Maybe I'm more sensitive to motion.
Space Mountain's been a classic favorite. But the Disney Paris had been revamped to Hyperspace Mountain (Star Wars theme), which they also made faster, or maybe just felt like it.. LOL
Having gotten older that ride is nothing more then a bunch of circling around and it's quite sickening.
Is this at Disney world?
