This is Part 15 of my trip continuing the journey riding the magnificent Trollstigen, down, up (don’t ask) and down again, what a fabulous road, before continuing on to the Atlantic Ocean Road, the famous and architecturally stunning curved bridge heading for the Tourist Scenic Route north. What a great day it was.

The whole journey took me through the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and into Norway right the way up to Nordkapp, the furthest point you can travel by motorcycle or car in mainland Europe and then back through Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Belgium and France over a 7 week period late May – mid July 2023
I am back in the UK now, but please do add your comments and I’ll get back to you.

  1. Same thoughts as me actually regarding the Atlantic Coast Road. Apart from the well photographed bridge, everywhere is flat so you don’t really appreciate the road when you’re on it.
Trollstigen Pass makes up for it though. There’s a really good YouTube video showing an articulated lorry passing a coach on one of the bends… Very impressive how they did it!

  2. Trollstigen scenery was beautiful. Got a chuckle out of the bike cyclist laughing and yelping when they rode through the spray; I’m betting it was pretty cold water. You were very to that point with the rain given your history of riding in the rain. Looking forward to next week’s adventure. Cheers, Jim

  3. What a great day with such a variety of terrain (and weather) to ride through…..looming mountains, crashing waterfalls and those amazing viewing points etc….I'm really enjoying this series. Cheers.

  4. That's a mighty trip you're taking. And a cb500x looks like the perfect travel companion. Not just another wanker on a gs1250 thinking he's Charlie Boorman.

  5. Astonishing journey . I am planning to go to the Nord Cape on my motorcycle , also like you , solo . I am following your trip and making ideas how to plan it. Unfortunately I will have to make it in time frame , though .
Thank you for sharing your videos of this amazing voyage. Can't wait for more . 👋

  6. Have been following you since last year, since I ride a Honda as well. In this video you drive past where I live – the same municipality as the Atlantic Ocean Road

  7. Another great video we are heading to Norway next year from N.ireland only up as far as Atlantic Rd then down via tet could u tell me if u can pay on all the ferries or do u need an app for some of them

  8. Another brilliant video. How was it with refilling the further north you went. Did you ever get close to running out. I currently have a gsa 30ltr tank with vast rad ge. but contemplating swapping bikes and dropping down to 19/20ltrs
