Traveling to Iran is much different from what we see about this country on the news.
We had a 40 day tour in Iran discovering its nature, history and kind people who made us fall in love with the diverse culture of this land. We truly hope that one day more tourists can travel to Iran and experience this amazing place themselves.

HELLO THERE:
We are Joe and Liisu, relatively new to YouTube but really excited to be a part of this community. We live small and sustainably in my home on wheels (a lovely van called Freyja) and from time to time out of our backpacks (we have not named the backpacks yet). On this channel, we ask you to join us on our travel adventures off the beaten track where we show you the beauty of untouched nature and wander into places most tourists don’t dare to go.

  1. I have to say that I think that this adventure was absolutely foolish. The chances of being kidnapped or worse are just so high and for what? A YouTube video? Sorry but the risk is not worth the reward. It probably even hinders future travel when other countries see Iran on your passport. I remember a Canadian couple a few years back who disappeared and spent years as hostages, I think that was Afghanistan but the same type of scenario. Heck with that.

  2. از توریستم شانس نداریم کلاً هر چی بدبخت بیچاره از کشورای درب و داغونه میاد ایران 😂

  3. I'm so glad you shared this and opened the eyes of some about this side of Iran and its people. It will be a special memory for you two, I'm sure. The way you summed it up at the end is just beautiful. Keep exploring our wonderful world!

  4. Travelling through Iran in the early 70's I encountered some of the best and worst people I'd ever met.
The worst. A Taxi Driver who used his car to try and run us over (myself and three friends) after a dispute about the fare. He'd told us the fare was x amount of dollars, arriving at our destination he stated the fare was x amount of dollars PER PERSON ! We refused and left him with the original negotiated amount. As we walked away down the road (no sidewalk) he gunned his Taxi and drove straight at us ! We managed to scatter out of the way and avoid his vehicle. Fortunately there were many Iranians present and they immediately abused the driver and showed him on his way.
    (Still very thankful to them)
The Best. On a train from Tehran to Tabriz with no food or water . Two guys who judging from their appearance had very little money between them opened a little parcel of food, ( a kind of pancake with some meat and vegetables) . Noticing that I and my travelling companion had nothing they , without being able to speak English, insisted we share the food with them. Their kind generosity still lives with me today. Despite the politics of the Iranian regime I will always have nothing but respect and gratitude for the kind hearts in Iran.

  5. It's so sad to think of living in a country where happiness must be kept under ground. I wish for love and happiness in Iran. ❤ I pray 4 the day when my Iranian sisters may feel the wind flow freely through their hair! Blessed Be!

  6. Very beautiful, I'm glad there are people such as you both, to help shed light on the beauty, cultures and wonders of this world. Please continue making videos and being of hope & inspiration to others. True joy and entertainment.

  7. as a iranian I have to say the happines is not hidden if you spend night in tehran you will find out night life of tehran or other big city of iran like shiraz … iranian people have very good nigth life , live night more than many europe and western country

  9. You Westerners are really a joke “we blurred their faces for their protection”!!! You are more free to talk your mind than any western country.
