  1. Went on Q2 was delightful Ole world charm.. San Francisco to Akl in 2016.. until the ship got stuck going into Tonga. I woke at 6.55am went onto balcony and could swear I saw the bottom of the ocean and sand upon sand. Th captain reversed out of there quick smart. Got an extra day night in Auckland! At greet the captain he was asked about awful experiences and worse day of his life.. he said yesterday trying to get into Tonga! The staff are exceptional. The wooden decks are true luxury. A charmer. I want to book on Queen Anne!!

  2. Great video! I went on this exact holiday with my fiancé and her family. My future father in law met you briefly. He watches your videos regularly. We do appear in your video, too! (Playing the ball games poorly at 10:14).

We felt your video was a fantastic summary of the ship.

    Thanks for posting.

  3. Thank you for featuring our favourite ship. As "more mature" cruisers, we only sail with Cunard. We don't cruise as often as we would like so it has to be perfect. We did a Mediterranean cruise back in 2017 and it was so different to cruising here in Australia. As you probably know, Australians are more casual but most of us follow the dress codes. We never get to dress up when not cruising so it's a treat. Looking forward to your next video.

  4. Love your presentation style and humorous interjections! I'm the viewer who asked for your luxury ship recommendations. The QE & The QM2 will fit the bill perfectly; I am the cruiser those ships are meant for. Looking forward to your forthcoming videos! 😊

  5. Excellent video. Myself and my parents enjoy your channel. They are going Queen Mary 2 this week and have been watching your previous videos for recommendations. Good to see the channel going from strength to strength!

  6. The QE3 is fantastic and Cunard does a marvelous effect. I sail from organized crime United States and British Organized Crime Connecticut. As a White Czech American with yesrs of animal abuse my health was compromised on my QE3 and on a QM2 voyage. However it was arranged someone stood outside my very generous QE3 stateroom shouting "there is not a drop of royal blood in your veins". A women in a next door cabin shouted "Your Finished your Through ". I had an airport Indian Visa that was not going to get me a shore. A brief note was deposited on my cabin door with no explanation. When I went to the information desk the British Officer was rude and offered no assistance. I had been on six Cunard Cruises going back to 1997 and had taken an English London stateroom clock on each cruise. I wanted to donate it to Cunard as an historical artifact. When I presented to the Pursuers Desk I was assured it was worthless and my sense of Cunard threw it in the Ocean. The QE3 is magnificent and the cruise was generous and fantastic. My well-being and health was compromised by Connecticut so I was not engaging situations at my best. I do want to thank Cunard for many years of wonderful World Travel. When you sail with Cunard you are part of the family.

  7. About the back pool…. it had been dreadful weather, and finally the sun came up. and I headed to the back pool. Well, there was a man laying on his back ON the FLOOR. The loungers had not (yet?) been put out. I thought that in such a ship, NO ONE should be laying on the floor. So I proceeded to un-do the loungers that were tidied up, strapped/cordoned off, by the side of the pool. Immediately a crew member came by to inquire as to "what was going on". I explained to him, that the day could not possibly be sunnier/warmer/nicer and the chaise loungers should be displayed ASAP. …. that I would wait 15 min for this to occur, otherwise I would do such. Nothing happened, so I took a few down. WELL, the NEXT day, the captain came down to "inspect" this area, (and probably to make sure the loungers were out …and about). I get the feeling that ANYTHING unusual around the ship, must be reported to the Captain, and he, had come down the next day, to be certain that everything was being done "the Cunard way"!

  8. Thank you for this very teasteful review. My partner and I retired quite early in life and look forward to rejoining the cruises now that the big COVID has passed. We took that time to "see America" with an RV and now we need some much deserved pampering. Well, I do. 🙂 Thanks again

  9. So funny people say QE is “old world elegance, or period drama” when she was launched in 2010 you have thought Cunard fans were giving up the brand in protest of her onboard style lol

  10. We were on QM2 to Bermuda from nyc 12 yrs ago w my then 15 yr old son. Today he's a cruise blogger & still says that was the prettiest ship ever.
Cunard ships are ocean liners..not floating cities that have no view of the ocean from public rooms.. The problem, even premium lines like celebrity & princess are so in debt from covid they've dumbed down dress codes, crew to passenger ratio, food budgets, and started catering towards families w kids ..sail free promotions ie. Oh & loyalty programs being chipped away on all levels. Big mistake.
Thanx for trying to remind ppl they do have a classier option.. Dont be put off by silent disco, its FUN! . .I'm in!
What other budget lines call aftn tea is a sad attempt. Cunard is not a lux brand premium yes.. closest is Holland amer & celeb.. unfortunately princess is on the skids ;after all its owned by carnival & its starting to show.
    Great overall video 👍
    Happy sailing!

  11. Is there a significant difference between Cunard and P&O? Both have ships that offer dancing and black tie dining, afternoon tea and theatre shows.
There does seem to be more of a class system with Cunard – exclusive dining rooms for "First", the whole ship-within-a-ship concept that I find off-putting (doubtless because I'd be on the wrong side of the dining room doors!).

The ultimate luxury on any ship is space, and Cunard does seem to have more of it than P&O per passenger, and simple things like more comfortable loungers make a difference, too.
