Armenian American diasporan here, this video was so spot on ❤💙🧡😍thank you for highlighting how we all came from different places because of the genoc*de.The representation was amazing 🇦🇲 Armenians still face threats of genoc*de from Turkey and Azerbaijan today. The same stories that were told by the people in this video from the perspective of their grandparents, are now stories we have witnessed ourselves in 2023. We have to tell our children about Azerbaijan/Turkeys second Armenian genocide. We are survivors and these great videos about our food, traditions, and history to show that we are still very much alive 🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲

All the food shown are without exception is Turkish food🤣🤣even the names are Turkish. It’s also hilarious how you never needed to fact check when you show eastern Turkey labeled as Western Armenia which has never happened at anytime in history.
"Pastirma" is a 🇹🇷 Turkish 🇹🇷 word that originates from the term "bastırmak" or "to press." During extended horse rides, the Ottomans would carry meat, securing it on both sides of the sleighs beneath their legs. The weight of the leg of the horse rider or Ottoman soldier, also known as yeniçeri, would press the pastirma, and the spices would prevent it from spoiling. Its funny that he is from Kayseri and actually I am from Kayseri too. The temperature of air in Kayseri is perfect for pastirma curing. That's why even if you have the same ingredients it is not easy to make good pastirma as it is very hard to adjust the climate.
5:04 Çaykur is a 🇹🇷 Turkish 🇹🇷 tea manufactorer located in Turkey. They mostly produce Black Tea from Northern Turkey. This is the tea President Erdogan would give away to his supporters ( AKP – throw it to their heads) during his tours.
30:35 Manto or as we say in Turkey🇹🇷 Mantı is actually a dish first created in China and travelled to Ottomans / Turkey via Silk Way. You will not see manti anywhere in Europe where Ottomans were not existed. I am not sure why armenians like to claim everything.
36:53 What she is working on is actually Sarma meaning "to wrap" and the pepper 37:18 ones are the ones actually called dolma. Dolma means "to fill/ to stuff" What do you fill it with? The rice or whatever you decide to put it. Even today in some parts of the Turkey sarma's are also called dolma as they are stuffed grape leaves. Both sarma and dolma are Turkish words.
